all original 1959 chevrolet apache 3800 dually utility truck w liftgate
original california truck its entire life still retains its orig black california plates and great patina
last registered in 1997, spent its life in ukiah california as a local heat ac and refrigeration service truck owned by the neighborhood repair man, some of his tools and supplies are still in a couple of the boxes.
235 6 cylinder engine w manual 4 speed transmission w granny 1st gear
this is the best running 235 i have ever heard, and i encourage anyone interested in the truck to come hear it run in person, it will absolutely leave you speechless!its as quiet as you will EVER hear!
shows 21660 miles and by the way it starts runs and drives i would say its original miles as it never left ukiah as i understand it. but no way i can tell that and be 100 % sure.
starts runs and drives as it should w no issues of any kind
has new:
tune up(plugs,wires etc)
battery
belts and hoses
valve cover gasket
water pump and fuel pump
fluids and filters
radiator was replaced also and new thermostat was installed
heater has been bypassed and i dont know why, i am willing to bet core isnt good but i do not know that to be true.
front tires were replaced but back 4 need replaced as they are old w flat spots and little tread
only damage on body is at bottom of drivers door and under gas cap as seen in pics
cab floors,cab corners,rockers are rock solid w no issues, surface only
some small cracks on arms of steering wheel
has original headliner in it still, doors shut nice and firm,no issues w sagging or rusted hinge areas or pockets. has some of the original floor mat still in it
all windows roll up and down, front glass is cracked and needs replaced(see pics)
drivers side of bench seat is torn and has large hole in it as seen in pics, you can cover it or have it re upholstered
ALL lights and gauges turn signals, horn work,even beacon light on top and light on back of drivers side utility box
all boxes open and close as they should and all locks work and i have all keys for them.
lift gate works..HOWEVER...it drops extremely fast and goes up slow...i suggest going through entire hydraulic system.(fluids hoses etc) and checking electric motor brushes and contacts..it works but i do not suggest using it regularly until going through the ENTIRE system for safety and reliability.
truck has clear nevada title in my name, TITLE only i have never registered it so you can use the black plates if you are in calif w no issues i beleieve.
