1986 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 Additional Info:

RELISTING THE CAR DUE TO A NON PAYING BIDDER. I ALWAYS WELCOMED NEW BIDDERS BUT AFTER THIS IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 10 FEEDBACK SCORE OR LESS THAN 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK YOU HAVE TO CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING OR YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELED. Up for auction is this 1986 Z-28 camaro. It is a project car, and needs to be finished. I bought it with the intent to restore the car but have since sold my house and moved to a condo so no longer have anywhere to store the car, so it has to go. When I bought it, the guy said he pulled the 305 and put in a rebuilt 350 he said it had a couple thousand miles on the motor when I bought it, and had just put in a rebuilt transmission that had less than 100 miles in it . ( had receipt for the tranny but not for the motor). The carb that was on it was acting up and would barely run any more so I trailered it home. Then like I said we ended up selling our house so I trailered it up to my land in the Dells last fall. This spring I bought a new edelbrock 1406 carb and put on it and now car fires right up and runs good. I don't have plates on it so I haven't driven it on the road but I have a big drive way on my land and have driven it around the driveway several times and it seems to run and drive nice. But like I said I haven't driven it any real distance so I would probably trailer it if you buy it just to be on the safe side until you can go through everything. The car is really loud right now as he also cut the muffler off. ( I have a very nice cat back exhaust that will go with the sale of the car, but needs to be installed. The car appears to have been repainted recently as it doesn't have any scratches or chips or anything but is an amateur paint job at best. Ok for a driver but definetly would want to repaint it to be show quality. The interior was kind of stripped out of it when I bought it meaning it has no carpet, headliner, or door panels. The seats are in really good condition as well as the sail panels and the dash pad is nice with no cracks. The interior plastics are decent and very useable but is missing a few pieces but can be easily found here on ebay. With out the carpet in it you can see that the floor pans are all solid, I don't see any holes in the floors at all. All the glass in it is nice with no cracks or breaks. It has a box full of misc parts that comes with the car, stuff that needs to be put back on the car, like door lock bezels, mirror bezel, heater controls, arm rests etc. Also has brand new in the box rotors and brake pads for the car, I don't really know if it needs them but they were in the car so selling them with it. Like I said the car is a work in progress but has had alot of the expensive stuff done already ( Motor and transmission). As you may have noticed it doesn't have the correct ground effects on it either the guy switched them out for the 90-92 camaro RS ground effects. I don't have the originals but they can also be bought on ebay. The guy I bought it from started taking everything apart on it and then ran out of money, I bought it with the intentions of a full restoration project but just don't have room for it anymore. If you are looking for a show car this is not the car for you but if you are looking for a father son project or just like tinkering on cars this would be a nice one for you. As you can drive it as you work on it because it don't look half bad the way it sits. I do have the heater controls for it but no radio as you can see in the pictures both are not in the car. It also needs all new window and lock switches as they were not in with the parts he gave me. The car does need a lot of TLC and like I said it is a work in progress but it is almost complete minus some interior parts and switches and I am selling at a low reserve. The motor and tranny are worth more than my reserve price, just looking to get my money back out of it as I have no where to go with the car if I did restore it. If you have any questions please ask before bidding not after you bought the car. Good luck bidding
