1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 Additional Info:

This is a 1970 1/2 Z28 Camaro. Original Carmaro Gold with sandalwood interior. Here are the numbers for this car and options that I am aware of;
Total Z28 Production = 8733AK1 Custom Deluxe Belts with Shoulder = 13,218D35 Sport Mirror = 31,726D80 Short rear spoiler = ?M21 4 speed = 5,302I have owned the car since 1993 and rebuilt the motor in 1995 and 1996 where the following was done;Rebuilt the complete original motor as far as I can tell, numbers are hard to read on the pad, but is correct 010 block with windage tray and pink rods. New Federal Mogul .040 forged pistons were installed with new rod bolts and all new bearings. New cam and cam bearings were installed with original intake. Heads are Trickflow aluminum heads with a matching Trickflow Hydraulic Cam that has almost same specs as the original Solid Lifter cam. This cam pulls harder and runs fantastic. Roller tipped rockers were added and also MSD distibuter and also MSD Ignition box. There is a Holly type 750 double pumper carb that has been tuned for this combination. Original Intake manifold, with high volume water pump and high volume oil pump. Car starts on the 1st try and runs fantastic. Motor needs nothing. Always have used synthetic oil. When the motor was rebuilt I installed Hooker super competition hedders and a Flowmaster mandral bent stock appearing exhaust. Sounds fantastic and is in great shape. Hedders are old but no leaks etc. I also put in a centerforce clutch that has a light clutch pedal, but a great grip. KYB shocks were added and still perform great. Recently, I redid the front and rear suspension with new poly bushings and new springs. A complete front end rebuild kit was utilized with new ball joints tie rods etc. I also put in a new gas tank and new lines. There are all new brakes front with new calipers, pads and rotors. The rear brakes were also completely redone with pads and cylinders nand new brake lines front to rear etc. There is a slight brake line leak in the back where the distibution block is. The tires are basically brand new with less than 200 miles on them. Car really runs and handles great, brakes need a professional bleeding and car needs paint and interior needs to be put in. I will install the seats prior to auction end for the winning bidder without carpet installed but it will be included. This is an great project that really needs minimal work to make it right. The car is scary fast with the 4 speed and 4:10 gears. It is an amazing car that demands the attention of the driver. It is a real mans car, no traction control or ABS brakes in this beast. This year is faster and rarer than the 69 Z28's and in my opinion a much better looking and running and handleing car. I have paperwork that I need to find that will be included with the sale and I have tried my best to describe the car. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction at any time. Certified funds are required within 72 hours of auction end. All sales are final.

I was asked to upload a picture of the engine pad stamping. I remember when the motor was rebuilt that is was really hard to see anythuing. This was the best I could do and I am 99% sure it is the originalk motor. When I took it apart it had all the original Z28 motor items, 11:1 forged dome pistons, windage tray, pink rods, high volume oil pump etc. It still retains all the original items except the motor was bored .40 over and 10:1 forged pistons were installed. The best of everything was installed and no short cuts were taken. I promise that the motor runs with no burning oil and good pressure. It does not hesitate and pulls hard to red line. Very Solid. The block is the correct 010 block etc.The motor items that are not original are minor and improvements. Electronis ignition, 750 Proform double pumper carb, Trickflow Aluminum heads 64cc heads with 180 runners. The Cam is a matching Trickflow cam that is hydraulic, but similar in specs to the 70 solid lifter cam. It runs harder and pulls stronger than the solid lifter cam as I changed the cam 10 years ago. These cars are going for high 30's and 40's and 50's in restored condition. Dont miss out as they are only going higher. This is NOT a TRIBUTE Z28. Get the real thing.
