1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 Additional Info:

1966 Chevy Chevelle SS 396 Big Block, with frame off restoration with complete frame protected with POR 15 rust inhibitor. Car was restored to like original condition with different wheels and tires than factory. Over the past five years I have shown the vehicle in local car shows. Garage kept with cover when not being shown. TheEngine block number is 3855961 all associated parts are correctie Crank, Heads Intake, Distributor, Exhaust Manifol, Alternator, Carburetor, Water Pumpmost parts weredated before build date.All Engine Parts are OEM Chevrolet part. Also I used correct off the factory lineribbed heaterhose and clamps to add correct detail to the engine areaalong with dated spark plug wires.Transmission original Muncie M21 4 speed which was completely rebuilt bearings, seals, synchronizers but still very noisy. Hurst4 speed shifterthe original kept hanging up. Original CF numbers12 bolt, 3.31 '1 posi rear end.Body has right rear quarter panel replace, left rear had skin replaced before I acquired vehicle. Bumpers were re-chromed with chromebumper guards added. I did add Tilt Steering along with dual master cylinder with booster plus power steering added. Tires are BFG Radial T/a 235/60 fron, 255/60 Rear with 15' Rally wheels. Interior is all original black with new carpet. All gauges work correct with the exception of the centerconsole clock is non functioning. While restoring the vehicle I used the book byAlan L. Colvin - Chevrolet by the Numbers to purchase and verify the numbers and reference for the build. The vehicle was built over the course of a few years completed in 2007.
