1967 CAMARO CONVERTIBLE BARNFIND V-8 POWER TOP POWER BRAKES POWER STEERING RARE BLUE EXTERIOR BLUE INTERIOR BLUE CONVERTIBLE TOP
This 1967 Camaro convertible was restored in the early 1990`s and was last driven in 1996. This car was stored in a barn since 1996 and was just pulled out last week. While this car needs a total restoration in is a solid 1967 Camaro. It will need the typical floor pans and trunk pan work ( see the pictures). The rear frame rails are solid with some surface rust, look closely at the pictures. The shock towers are very nice. At one point when the car was restored in the early 1990`s it had quarter panel skins installed and there was some patching of the fenders, you can see some signs of old body work. The car has a V-8 engine of unknown origin, we hooked up a battery and hot wired it and the motor spun over with ease, we did not get it running, will need a gas tank and line flush and some other typical engine tune up work. All the cocktail shakers are in place. Obviously the car will need seat covers, carpet, etc. for the interior. The top is still supple, but of course is white when it should be blue. The door open and shut good, when you pull up and down on the doors the whole car moves showing that is is solid. The rockers have good pinch welds still, some signs of rust in the outer rocker.
According to some research we did, the blue on blue on blue is very rare. Chevrolet did not install blue tops at the factory. They had an outside vendor install blue tops, this being the case the top frame was on the car when it was painted and the frame got painted blue as well as the body, this car has that. Vin tag and cowl tag have never been tampered with.New York is a non-title state for cars 1972 and older, it will come with all the proper NYS DMV forms for transfer of ownership and a bill of sale. This is very common with cars of this vintage in new york and there is an actual DMV form for this situation.
