Only 3,200 miles on a complete body off the frame restoration. It has lots of nice features too. It's a comfortable, practical to use truck. It also is done so well it could be used as a show truck. Heck, why not use it for both!
EXTERIOR: Certainly is an attention getter. The bright red, later model step side box with 2 chrome stacks coming out of it make it unique. The body is in excellent condition, straight and clean. Doors and tailgate open and close like new. The red paint is very smooth and glossy. It has a custom roll pan in back with recessed license plate. In front it looks like the grill and bumper has all been replaced. Also the emblems, marker lights, mirrors, door handles look new. It has a new windshield and a new sliding rear window. All the rubber gaskets around the windows were replaced. The door jambs are very clean, weather strips replaced. The chrome stacks and heat shields still look new. It rolls on a set of 15 inch polished aluminium Weld Racing wheels and BF Goodrich tires.
INTERIOR: It is meticulously restored from carpet to headliner. It was gutted and painted gloss red. The seat is rebuilt and reupholstered in a very nice looking grey with red piping. It has matching door panels, kick panels and headliner. In front of me is an all new instrument cluster with the factory gauge package and tachometer. The instrument bezel, dash pad, heater controls are new. It has a tilt column with a leather wrapped wheel. It has a stereo system with Alpine unit, CD changer, amp and subwoofer. It has an upgraded power windows system. The pedals, visors and glove box liner are new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Rebuilt and detailed engine bay. It is painted a slick red and gloss black. The 350 engine was completely rebuilt. It has an aluminium intake with an Edelbrock carb, GM performance electronic ignition system and a set of coated headers. It is dressed up with Edelbrock chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It's kept running cool with a new radiator, shroud and flex fan. The battery is bolted down properly. It has a new power brake booster and master. New alternator, pulleys, and power steering. It is show quality, very neat and tidy.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the box is completely straight and damage free. It's been sprayed in a durable black Line-X.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the chassis for a complete restoration. It's all solid metal that was prepped and sealed in a durable Line-X that was color matched red. The chassis was prepped and painted black. All the components were rebuilt. The front end is all new including bushings, shocks, springs, ball joints etc. In back it has new bushings and shocks. The brakes were redone, has disc in front. Lookung up at the motor, it still spotless you can see the new freeze plugs, starter with a heat shield and a Milodon oil pan. It has a Turbo 350 automatic trans. New drive shaft and u-joints. New Auburn posi rear end. The dual exhaust system has Dynamax mufflers.
The more I look the more I like. It was obviously built with pride. Very clean top to bottom, functions like new!
