1941 Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan Additional Info:

1941 Chevrolet Sedan Deluxe

The 1941 Chevrolet Master DeLuxe and Special DeLuxe were introduced in September of 1941, and by then, with thousands of young men already called up by the military, it was obvious that full U.S. participation in World War II was imminent. In most respects the 1942 Chevrolet Master DeLuxe and Special DeLuxe models were identical to the 1941 versions. The difference was a new grille and front fenders that now extended partway across the doors.

For consignment a Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan from 1941. Shark Gray Metallic works with plenty of chrome and red accenting to create the "look" of this wide white, shaved bumper, steel wheel rounded over sedan that takes on a bit of a rodded twist, but tastefully so. Read on and dream on...

Exterior
With A curved "Groucho Marx" Mustache grille all in chrome with some red accenting leading the way, it needs to do it on its own as the front bumper has been shaved. Rounded fenders flank the multi vented side strip hood with a bulbous front and a nice ornament to lead the way for the top end. Running boards have gone by the wayside and now just a little flare for the rockers between the rounded front and rear fenders is seen. The trim spear at the belt line is a small continuation of the front hood venting where it picks up and then runs to the rear of the car. On back more shaving of the rear bumper too, and a large red and white flourish pinstripe design adorns the trunk lid. Small oval taillights and dual chrome tipped exhaust peek out from the bottom. Non hub capped gray steel wheels with black lug nuts and wrapped up in wide whites are seen on all 4 corners hanging out.

Interior
Inside a mixture of red and gray battle for real estate space on the doors and dash. Red has won on the custom white faced gauge dash with vintage added air conditioning, and an aftermarket pioneer AM/FM/CD but the gray wins for the power seats, column wrap, carpeting and what could be a reproduction of the original bench to this car. Front buckets are late model high back and covered in all cloth. A tight headliner is above and looking smart.

Drivetrain
A fine example of utilizing black shiny paint for the engine bay at the beginning of the restoration, the plunking in a 350ci V8 Chevy block all with polished bolt ons and valve covers. A 4-bbl. carburetor is bolted to the top of the mill and on back is a TH350 3-speed automatic tranny.

Undercarriage
Just like my wife likes her filets, well done underneath with no rust. A Mustang II independent front end featuring power disc brakes, and a Corvette independent rear suspension with power disc brakes is now on. Headers and a glass pack style exhaust make a melodious sound upon fire up and pushing the accelerator in the direction of the floorboard.

Drive-Ability
Another nice example that one interested in this era car can check out, and you too will be pleasantly satisfied. As I was on the test drive where all my experiences (acceleration, handling, cruising and braking,) were all very positive with no complaints.

With some very nice mods, and wonderful exterior character with its shaved bumpers and chrome with red accenting, a unique piece. When behind the wheel you will conger up onlookers to think you are a successful "businessman" who likes to "run" things, and always has plenty of "cash" on hand (get my drift?).
