1985 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 K10 custom deluxe, 4x4, no reserve, survivor, Additional Info:

1985 Chevrolet K10 Custom Deluxe~Original 35 year old Doeskin Tan Paint~108,163 Original miles on the truck~Original 5.7 liter 350cid V8~Solid Rust Free Survivor~Factory Air ConditioningNO RESERVE AUCTIONUp for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1985 Chevy K10 Short bed fleet sidewith only 108,163 actual miles. This truck is an example of a real survivor still beautifullyfinished in the original Doeskin Tan paint. The Chevy has spent the last 35 years in the mild climate of the Sierra Nevada foothills in Northern California. This truck really hasn't seen a lot of use in its 35 years, when the average vehicle is driven 15k miles a year, this truck has an average of just 3,000 miles of use. It is also important to point out this truck has a 6 digit odometer; where as many square bodytrucks only have a 5 digit odometer and after 99,999 miles it goes back to 00,000 and the count starts over. With a 5 digit odometer this makes true mileageimpossible to really know after 35 years, unless it has a 6th digit like this truck. Therefore 108k miles really means 108k miles. Square bodyChevyshave been plentiful for many years, many have changed hands numerous times along with being modified many times over whether filled with cheap Asianmade aftermarket parts or chopped up, shortened, swapped etc. However finding an original, low mileageexample of factory short bed4x4 square bodyis something to look twice at because those opportunitiesare not very plentiful. This truck is an original piece, that has low miles, and has not changed hands throughout its life. They are only original once and with a NO RESERVE this truck is one of those opportunities you do not want to miss.Cosmetically this truck is a true survivor. The truck was built in March of 1985 when it was sprayed with a coat of Doeskin Tan Paint. Over 35 years have gone by and this truck still has that same coat of Doeskin Tan paint it received 35 years ago. If you know anything about GeneralMotors paint in the 80's you know it didn't receive awards for quality as many General Motors products had the same issues of paint falling off. This fact makes this 1985 truck all the more appealing because its been preserved to a point most of the paint is still with the truck and hasn'tmet the same fate as so many other GM cars and trucks. The paint even still has the original dark brown pin striping still visible completely around the entire truck. The body of the truck is straight and rust free. There is no bubbling or holes. There are some dings and dents as expected with a 35 year old truck, there is also a few sections where the paint is a little thin. But overall the paint shines very nicely and the body is straight. The original steel wheel and hubcaps are wrapped in brand new 32/12.5/15 Mud Terrain tires which drive nicely down the road. All the bumpers look great as well as the grille and emblems. The glass has no cracks. The inside of the bed is free of big dents from use and much of the original paint is very much present in the bed. Underneath the cab and bed reveals a fantastic clean rust free metal. This is a very clean truck underneath.Step inside this square and you're stepping back into a similar time when people drove trucks instead of the spaceships they drive today. The simplicityis refreshing without all the alarms and voice controls grabbing your attention from the road. In my opinion this truck is ideally equipped with manual windows and locks you don't have the COMMON problem of failure like you do with the options. This truck is equippedwith factory AC and a heater. The AC will need a recharge. The truck still has the original AC Delco AM radio that while original should be replaced if you want any kind of entertainment. There are no cracks in the dash. The original vinyl flooring is in great shape with no holes. The saddle bench seat has no rips or tears. The truck has all the original seat belts. All the visors and interior of the cab is in great shape. There are no rust sections under the doors.Mechanically this truck is in good running and driving condition as you would expect of a truck with 108k miles. The 5.7 liter 350 V8 fires up and runs smoothly. Nothing has been modified. Original exhaust manifolds and exhaust system with the stock dual side pipes only seen on 350s, a 305 or V6 would only have one pipe. The 700r4 4 speed Overdrive transmission shifts smooth in all gears. This truck gets great gas mileagewith the gearing and overdrive transmission. All the lights work. The truck brakes like it should. Overall mechanically this truck is a good solid 35 year old truck runs, shifts and brakes as it should.NO RESERVE THIS ITEM WILL SELL TO THE FINAL BIDDER!This listing includes well over 200 detailed HIGH DEFINITION photos and the vehicle has been described as descriptive as possible.
