1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 Additional Info:

57 Chevy swb p/u that we bought for a project... We have too many things going to get this started and have decided to let it go. The truck has all the original parts except for the engine head, the engine block is sitting in the engine compartment and the remaining parts are in the bed. The truck has rust areas including floors, cab corners, lower door skin, pretty much all of the usual areas on these trucks. The truck has lived it's life in Mo. to one person and was a local farmer that worked it till it was time to park it. I have tried to show in good detail with the pics. No bids accepted from anyone with less than 5 transactions and no negative bidders in the last 6 mos. will be accepted. Buyer is responsible for shipping and pickup, but we can assist with the loading.

This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck originally came with a 6 cylinder engine. I have another frame with engine and transmission converted to a V8 using all 1957 Chevrolet factory mounting hardware. Mounting is done by the use of two stud posts at the front of the engine suspended on rubber biscuits for vibration isolation. This is the way the Chevrolet factory mounted the engine on V8 equipped pickups in 1957. Engine is either a 265 or 283 and it turns over, but the bad news is it was stored without sufficient antifreeze and has either pushed out a freeze plug or cracked the block. Water leaks out from behind the exhaust manifold on one side so, it being hidden by the exhaust manifoldI cannot see where it is coming from exactly. Original factory installed granny gear 4 speed, rearend, and front suspension. Frame is original and unmolested

Any questions feel free to ask and will try to answer as best as I can...
