1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Additional Info:
1964 ERMINE WHITE CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE
All original and highly documented!
Ermine White w/Black interior, 327/250hp, Powerglide automatic transmission.
Over the years, we’ve had the pleasure of buying and selling some very original Corvettes. But, this beautiful CA. Black plate ’64 Convertible is not only one of the most original we’ve seen, but it’s also one of the most heavily documented! This is a survivor in every sense of the word! We’ve known about the car for a number of years, as it was owned by a good friend and client of Corvette Mike’s who purchased it from the original owner.
It was purchased new by a “little old lady” in Lancaster CA. Actually, we’re not sure how old she was when she bought it back in July of ’64. But, one thing we do know. Her name was Jane and she was very meticulous about the care of this car! It’s spent its whole life right here in CA.! And we have a leather dossier filled with documents, unlike anything we’re ever seen before. Such as a “diary” listing every gallon of gas and service from the day she bought it, to the day it was sold in the early ’90s! We also have service records going back to 7/64, as well as factory and dealer docs, all the registrations, brochures, owner’s kit, original keys, etc. There’s even a couple photos of Jane from back in that day and later in life, just to give you a sense of who she was. It truly tells the story and history of this amazing Corvette! After it was purchased by our client, he kept it in excellent original condition for over 25 years. It was then sold to a collector up in Northern, CA., then to us. The car is a true time capsule! Its original Ermine White paint still shines. Its interior is pristine, with just the right amount of patina, and the original 327 sitting under the hood, mated to a smooth-shifting Powerglide automatic transmission, runs just as it should.
It’s a hard top only car and is optioned with power steering and an AM/FM radio. The only non-stock item on it is a set of Redline radial tires that help it go down the road straight and true! And it’s a dream to get behind the wheel and cruise. There’s something about the way an original Corvette runs and drives that you just can’t duplicate with a restored example. Everything feels just right! So, are you ready to be this ’64’s next caretaker and continue its legacy of fine care? You know Jane would have wanted it that way . . .
