1994 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:

1994 Z/28 PRO STREET CAMARO Pro Built, Pro Street, Pro Touring, Resto Mod, LS3, big horsepower!!!! This car covers it all. The chassis and paint work done by Dave Janes Race Cars of Kirksville Missouri. LS3 6.2 Motor built by Borowski Race Engine Builders, Joliet Illinois (2018 race Engine Builder of the Year) Turbo 400 Pro Tree Transmission built by Jim Buford (Buford Racing Transmission) Bloomington IL. I purchased this car with the chassis and paint work completed. However it did come with the factory LT1 350 and factory 4L60 transmission, so needless to say the car was quite the slug. With the amazing work that was done by Dave Janes I thought the car deserved something special…. Soooo I made a few choices… first more about the chassis. Chromalloy steel tubing Fab 9 Rear End (410 gears) Four Link with Coil overs Strange axles 35 spline/ Strange Disc Brakes Detroit Locker Carbon Fiber Tubbs Absolute amazing metal work Gorgeous Black Paint….. Not that it matters much but this is a Factory Black Z/28 Now about the Motor, I personally don’t like the looks of the Turbo Chargers or Pro Charges under the hood, I could not find a Roots type Super Charger that would fit without cutting part of the wiper cowl out, the car is just too nice I did not want to do that. So I reached out to Borowski Engine Builder explained what I need and they built me a nice little pump gas (93 Octane) Naturally Aspirated Stroker Motor that puts out more power than a supercharged ZR1. Hers the basics on the motor. LS3 6.2 416 CI Stroker Callies Performance Products … crank and rods Holley Terminator ECM Holley Fast LSX 102 Intake Diamond Pistons Stage 111 CNC Ported GM LS3 Cylinder Heads Horsepower ….. 700 @ 6300 rpm 655 Lb-ft@ … 4500 rpm Have complete build sheet for motor Stainless steel headers Obnoxious 3 “exhaust that turn down just about half way down chassis. Video of dyno Dyno sheets For the transmission I really like the turbo 400, so that is what we did….. Reverse Manual Pro Tree trans. brake with all the goodies….. The transmission was built by Jim Buford (Buford Racing Transmissions) just outside of Bloomington Illinois. The converter is custom built by Lenny@ Ultimate Converter Concepts….. Have all the documented build sheets for both Trans and Converter. The front suspension is all BMR Black Hammer tone Round Tube including K Member, solid motor mounts. Coil over suspension, factory disc brakes up front. Also has line lock. The interior of the car is absolutely beautiful. The Custom seat and door panels are cloth and vinyl. The vinyl is simulated pattern to match the appearance of the carbon fiber tubs. Options on the car are: Air Conditioning -- Ice cold Power Steering Power Brakes Six way Driver Power seat Power Windows Power Mirrors AM/FM Stereo GPS digital Speedometer Full mix of factory and Aftermarket gauges 15 Gallon Fuel Cell Remote Rear Hatch Release. Tires and wheels: Rear Wheels are Billet Specialties… With Hoosier Quick Time Pros 31 x 18.50x15 Front wheels are Billet Specialties…. Radial low noise 165/80R15 The performance of the car is spectacular, very reliable street car averages 17 MPG depending on how you drive it. The picture do not due the car justice. The two short videos are just playing around in the driveway; the car behaves very nicely on the street. You can cruise the car for hours without any overheating issues. The paint is Beautiful as is the interior. Lights, turn signals operate as should. I was not able to figure how to get the factory speedometer to work with the turbo 400 hence the GPS speedo. All other gauges work as should. However the wiring is in place for the speedo if you choose to go with a 4L60 or some other newer transmission. The Chassis of the car cleans up like new... but with the short turn down exhaust gets dirty after a short while. The car can be driven anywhere... if you are going to power tour the car you would probably want to change the quick time pros, and put a quitter exhaust on her. I will add that this car was built to hold way more power than I am using, Dave Janis did a remarkable job!!…. But it was never used as a race car. The car as it is will hold much more power, if you wanted to add on to the Chromalloy chassis you certainly could. My whole idea for under the hood was to keep it as factory looking as possible. The Scheme of the car is Pro Street Look with great reliability, and all the comfort needed…. Oh by the way did I mention the car has Air Conditioning, Power Windows and driver side power seat!!! The car is an absolute show stopper, draws huge crowds were ever it goes. The car finished third best Camaro overall at the 2019 Route 66 Mother Road fest for 1993 and newer Camaros.
