Up for your consideration is a 1959 Chevy Viking 60 Napco inspired 4x4 build.....Very rare to find these old work horses in this condition and still on the original frame after conversion.
This beauty..... lovingly named " Big Shirley" started life out on a pine farm in Georgia and lived there over 55 years until the original owner passed away and his nephew inherited it. I bought the farm truck from him. The truck was always stored inside and thats why it looks so well preserved....the truck was painted in the 80's sometime and has no rot or rust cancer....she does have some small bubbling starting to show up on the lower rear of the cab so I treated that with rust converter. Floors are solid and original, interior is original except the bench seat.
The build: I took a perfectly excellent running K10 military truck and took everything off of it. The entire drive train has been rebuilt with less than 200 miles on it, the engine runs strong and 700R trans shifts great. The truck was a 4 speed and the original shifter was kept as the automatic shifter. All new wiring harness was custom built in addition to many many many other custom parts to make this come together properly.
Bed is solid diamond plate and custom built in addition to new rails.
This is a bad ass one of a kind 4X4 build that your not going to find easily and these rarely come up for sale. They stay in private collections. I can't say I'm excited to part with Big Shirley, but its time.
