This 1993 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS combines the big block from the heavy-duty pickups and the lightest half-ton chassis to create the first muscle truck of the modern era.

Victory Red is the perfect color for this truck. The name belongs on a powerful vehicle like this, and something this speedy always looks good in a bold hue. While we usually see these SS trucks in black, the red really shows off all the blackout trim they gave this aggressive pickup. This one retains all the right factory pieces like well-preserved lower valence, menacing blacked-out grille, and bold red bow tie emblems placed throughout the pickup. Plus, it has the right subtle upgrades like the bright LED headlights, bed liner, and the cowl induction-style hood that brings up memories of the best muscle cars of the '60s and '70s. You'll even love the small details like the bright exhaust tips and factory 15-inch polished wheels.

It isn't a true SS truck without the Garnet Red interior and the premium cloth bucket seats. It's quite distinctive and still looks good today. A center console armrest provides extra storage and a set of cup holders, which is a nice feature that doesn't yet come in many classic collectables. These engines were initially intended to do work in a dually, pulling things like horse trailers, but then were installed in an 800-pound lighter pickup... so you know this one has some serious power to spare. The engine is believed to be original to the truck, and it's a strong runner. You'll be proud to pop the hood at any car show or cruise-in because it has an interesting sinister black appearance that fills every inch of the engine bay. This one came later in the short run if the 454 SS trucks, and fans know that means Chevy increased the power and upgraded the transmission to the 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive. This one is also quite capable on the road thanks to a sports car-like ratio on the power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and ABS.

DRIVE IT HOME: If you plan to buy and drive home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one.
