Same owner since 1992, 28 years! He did a body off frame restoration on this clean California Rally Sport. Has #s match motor and colors. Also includes original proteprotect-o-plate, owner's manual, pre delivery inspection, literature and a window sticker in the original glovebox pouch.
EXTERIOR: Clean California original body. We have photos of the car stripped to bare metal. All original metal except upgraded cowl hood. Gorgeous show quality paint. Original color but they never looked this good new! Very glossy clear coat finish. Correctly painted black nose stripe. Jambs are painted slick. Every piece of chrome, stainless, emblems, etc are excellent. Has dual Bowtie mirrors, correct antenna. Weatherstrips and window seals are replaced. Glass is clear and lines up nice. It's decked out with spoilers and of course the RS trim and hidden headlights. Rides on a set of rally wheels with new trim and radial redline tires.
INTERIOR: Factory deluxe interior car. Completely restored inside from carpet to headliner. The cushions in the seats are replaced, deluxe upholstery is all new. Has rare fold down rear seat. The door panels, ashtrays, window cranks etc are new. Even the factory seat belts look new. The entire dash area is restored. Repainted metal, new chrome bezels and knobs. New heater control knobs and dash pad. It does have the factory tachometer in the dash and factory gauge cluster in front of the console. It's also a deluxe wheel with a tilt column. Overhead the visors, headliner and mirror look new. Has rare rear defroster, mesh deck panel is excellent. Interior lights work. This car is pristine inside, it actually sparkles.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s matching 327 motor was rebuilt and bored 30 over. Has polished aluminum intake, double hump heads and Holley carb with electric choke. Has cowl induction air cleaner. Meticulously detailed, all the finishes are smooth. The brackets, pulleys, nuts, bolts etc are like new. Has complete factory air conditioning system. Cadmium plated brake booster. Wiring, fan shroud, hood hinges etc are like new. Has correct battery cables with Delco battery topper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Restored, detailed trunk. Clean metal, clean original inner 1/4s. Has a nice spatter finish. Under the trunk lid and the jamb is painted glossy blue. Has new decal, mat, weatherstrip and taillight housings. Also has a space saver spare with the air bottle and a complete jack.
UNDERSIDE: The metal is dry as a chalkboard! The floors are clean original, no patches. Chassis is smooth, clean metal. Upfront the steering and suspension is completely rebuilt. Bottom of the motor is clean Chevy orange, starter and fuel pump look new. Has flywheel cover. Upgraded with a Turbo 400 automatic trans. Replaced u-joints. Has 3.73 posi 12 bolt rear. New fuel tank, sending unit and lines. Has multi leaf springs and air shocks in back. Brakes were redone, has disc in front. E-brake system is complete.
This is a meticulously restored and detailed Camaro. Even the guys here have commented how nice this one is. When I started listing the options I was surprised how many it has. Very desirable car!
