1948 Chevrolet Fleetline Aerosedan Additional Info:

Up for sale is my 1948 Chevy Fleetline Aerosedan, which has been in my family for about 25 years. It runs drives and stops. It's pretty complete with original parts plus has extras (see photos). I have much more than what is provided in the photos. I also have the original glass considering that most of the glass has been replaced but the rear window.
Most of the body work has been completed, so there are no major rust or damage issues. This car is not a piece of junk, and lots of heavy lifting has already been completed. As far as I know, it has only lived in GA & FL.
The doors have been shaved. It is a pretty straight car with the only real rust in the trunk. The trunk pan needs to be replaced but everything else is fine or only in need of minor repairs. There is sheet metal currently there but you will want to remove that a replace the pan. I think the replacement is about $250.
Again the car, runs, drives, and stops and could be driven as-is with some further brake adjustments and reconnecting the emergency brake. Within the last year, I installed a new gas tank, new battery, new points, new fuel pump, rebuilt the carburator and did a few other things to get the car running and driving. It has a 235 motor, dual exhaust, a Camaro rear end, a S10 5spd, and a shaved rear trunk apron. It has also been lowered.
I have some restored stainless steel trim pieces (ones wrapped in plastic) which are included in the pictures, along with other parts. I think I recently paid about 2.3k for those last summer. The other trim pieces need to be re-chromed or repaired. I have a brand new headliner with trim and brand new seat covers (see pics). I also have brand new rubber for the doors and windows (see pics).
Although the car isn’t the pretty, it is mostly complete, and great for resto project. It comes with a fair amount of valuable parts and components. The only things I am aware that are missing are: door handles, rock guards for rear fenders, and the little Chevy bowtie for the front “T” for the grill.
I am not desperate to sell but would accept $7800. If the car is posted, it is available, so please don’t ask if it is still available because I won’t respond. You can call me should you have any questions. Nine, one, 9, six, 9,6, one, 8, six, zero. I don't need help selling so don't call and ask.
