1972 Chevrolet Blazer CST Additional Info:

1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer CST Survivor/Barn Find!!

Here is a rare opportunityto own arguably the most sought after first generation K5 Blazers made! This rig is a survivor!! Try to find another 2 owner 1972 K5 Blazer like this that has been in storage since 1982 with 93k original miles and these factory options!! I could not resist the opportunityto purchase this very rare Blazer. I am offering this rig up one time before I start restoring it. If it brings what I want then so be it. This very rare K5 was purchased from the second owner who bought the rig when it was only a year old in 1973. It was driven until 1982 when it was put in storage until now. After being pulled out of storage it was completelycleaned inside and out. Almost everythingis intact and original equipment on this rig. The body is amazingly straight and solid for it's age . It has been a rust free Nevada rig it's whole life until it was moved to southern Oregon and put into storage. The only metal that was replaced was the drivers outer rocker panel. The rest of the rig is very solid with only light superficial surface rust. It still bares most of it's original paint with some spot in's here and there. If your into that patina look this one has it. There are plenty of chips and scratches from it's nearly 48 year life. The floors, rocker panels, rocker boxes, doors, firewall, windshield frame, cowl, quarter panels, tailgate are all rust free!! The Blazer has had all the fluids flushed and changed including, engine, coolant, transmission, transfer case as well as differentials. The motor has had a full tune up and runs great. Starts right u, choke works, holds good oil pressure and temp. No weird noises or smoke. The valve cover gaskets, timing gasket and oil pan gaskets were replaced. All the filters were changed out. Has new O.E.M fuel tank and sending unit. The entire brake system was overhauled including calipers and pads, wheel, cylindersand master cylinder. The wheel bearings were also replaced as well as the axle seals. Also has a brand new battery and a good set of tires. This is a rare factory hugger orange K5 with factory 4 seasons air conditioning(Intact).tinted glass,3.73 gear ratio, positraction rear axle,350 engine, turbo 350 automatic transmission, skid plate, power steering,Cheyenneequipment, parchment trim, door edge guards, rear seat,HD shocks and more. Its all there and everything works!! Check out the original build sheet or SPID in the pics. Has all the original glass including a nearly mint front windshield with the CST trim still intact. The top is in excellentcondition with no cracks .The hatch is in excellentcondition as well. The interior is all there but the seats will need to be recovered and the rear saddle scroll interior side panels are pretty much shot. The rear seat was missing and has been replaced with a correct one that needs to be recovered as well. The console is in great shape but could use reconditioning. The dash pad has cracks to be expected. Also has a wrong later model Chevy steering wheel on it. Carpet is out and will need to be replaced. Comes with both carpet trim pieces and new sill plates. The exterior trim is all there but will need to be reconditioned or replaced. Still has the original wheels and hub caps! Still has the original Nevada plate that has tabs from 1982. I have the original title for the vehicle as well. I have paperworkand timelines that suggest that the mileagestated is true, but no certified documentation. It will also come with a bunch of old registrations, receipts, insurance cards, owners manuals ect. I am sure many of you are well aware of the ever increasing value of these first generation Blazers. As far as un-restored original rigs they pretty much don't get better then this one with these options. I have had and have several of these 1969 thru 1972 K5 Blazers. I am currently finishing another one up right now or I probably would not consider selling this one. I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone is interested in it as is. Great candidatefor a high end restoration or cool and popular patina build. This is a turn key driver. I am only interested in dealing with serious buyers. Please do your homework before contacting me. Thanks you for taking the time to read my description.
