I purchased this truck 2 years ago. I was amazed at the work that was put into it. Frame up restoration. New bed sides custom tailgate latch. 4 inch lift. The 496 8.1 liter vortec. new transmission 350TH automatic. I have done a lot to it seats, mirrors running bars. But the truck still needs a lot. needs a wiring harness to match the components of the truck such as a 1975 body. A 2006 vortec engine. And a 1996 steering column. there are companys that will build a harness to suit your build needs. these come with a built in fuse box to control all your components like power windows locks ac heating ect.ect.ect. It has a dead short that runs from the battery to the computer to the in line fuse box to the steering column starter switch. All up the power line to the computer. Needs a steering box flush and the air conditioning doesn't work. Leak in lines. And a bunch of other things needs the fuel guage wired all new guages but I never got around to wiring the fuel guage. The motor has 60000 miles on it and runs smooth. But needs new muffler system and the O2 sensors put into the mufflers pipes. All fluids have been changed.new plugs. I start it all the time. keep the motor running right. It shifts good. 4x4 works good. Bullet proof original transfer case. 44 Dana front and back. The builder said he put a detroit lockers on rears. Great guy Good body man and builder. He built this and a lot of other wonderful rides. He got on meth. And he's gone. I bought this and thought I could finish it off. I just don't have the time. And I have run out of money. to finish it. It is starting to surface rust in a couple spots and primer coats falling of couple spots. Make a fantastic truck to show. This truck has had over 10000 of work put into it. The motor would cost you 2000 to 3000 used if you could find one. not including shipping. The body is rare. 75 with good metal. hard to find. with air condition vents in the dash. And it's a short bed fleetside. Even rarer. Probably a early Silverado. Its a block lift on suspension. and 1 inch body lift front to back. Original springs and body. Buy a 350 motor lower it and put it back original. Sell the Vortec motor it would pay for the change. Great motor GM last big block 7th Generation. It was built in a new york plant that built 454 big block. Its a brute motor 340 hp 450 ft pounds. Last big block built.
