1973 Chevrolet El Camino SS Additional Info:

For Sale is a 1973 Chevrolet SS El Camino. I have owned this vehicle approximately three years and only driven it about 100 miles due to the fact that I have multiple vehicles. The engine is not original to the vehicle and per the paperwork supplied with the vehicle when I purchased it is that the engine is a Goodwrench 454 with a RV2 cam and balanced. Tons of receipts were included with the vehicle when I purchased it. It has a Turbo 400 transmission and a limited slip rear end. The carburetor is an Edelbrock 1904 Quadrajet with dual snorkel air cleaner. It runs and drives very well but being close to fifty years old will needs some repairs. The Tachometer/Speedometer just recently stopped working, most likely a loose wire. The body has some usual rust near the rear wheel wells, only visible on the drivers side. The trunk drop off panels look solid. I patched the floors in the cab so they are solid. There is some rust beneath the windshield which will need to be addressed but should not be too complicated to repair. Some bubbling on the roof. The floor of the bed has rust due to a rubber floor mat that was installed and trapped moisture. It will need to be patched and/or Rhino lined. The interior was intact but worn before I disassembled it. It has a center console not shown. Needs carpet and dash pad. I have an extra plastic instrument gauge panel which will be included in the sale. The hood has multiple rust spots so I purchased a used hood in very good condition to replace it. The fenders appear to have only surface rust as well as the doors. The doors are long and heavy yet they align perfectly and do not drop at all when the doors open and no play in the bushings. All the gaps line up well (factory) and this car can easily be taken apart and painted without worrying about panel alignment issues. This vehicle should not be too difficult to restore as it has a good foundation. The tires are old and cracked so I would suggest a tow, however I drove it today ten miles. P.S. the heater core and/or hose just started leaking today so this also will need to be addressed. It is located in Tustin, CA 92780. No shipping and no storing of the vehicle. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 by way of PayPal withing 48 hours and the balance due in cash upon picking up the vehicle. Sold As-Is condition. Please pick up within one week. The vehicle is titled and registered in my name and I have the pink slip in hand.
