The 1964 Corvette was greeted with as much enthusiasm as its predecessor. With continued refinement of an already intensely popular sports car, it continued to maintain success. The styling refinement made to the 1964 Corvette were subtle. These changes included the removal of the faux hood vents, rocker panel trim changes, the wheels were simplified, a molded steering wheel in simulated walnut wood-grain, and the hugely impactful sound insulation revision, significantly reducing the amount of noise being generated during normal vehicle operation within the cabin. Mechanically, few changes were made to the car. however, the fuel-injected engine, like the one found in this car, gained an additional 15hp over the previous year. This was accompllished by a re-profiled camshaft with a greater life and a longer dwell, as well as improved ports and valve gears. Whenever we acquire a classic Car like this, our first steps of preparing it for market are through a thorough visual, functional, and mechanical inspection. This car had previously gone through an incredibly thorough restoration with an exceptional attention to detail. Every aspect of this vehicle works inside and out. The analog clock had been replaced with an electronic OEM style. The interior shows minimal to no signs of wear throughout, as the car has been incredibly well kept. When this Corvette arrived at our shop, the first thing we did was put it on the lift and do a quick undercarriage powerwash. This frees the car of any dirt and grime underneath and helps to reveal any mechanical issues that may need to be address. Because of the restoration on this car, as well as the incredible care taken of this Corvette, this car is virtually perfect underneath, as you can see photographed, and shows absolutely no signs of rust and virtually no signs of wear and tear. It is a true, fully restored Fuelie in showroom condition inside and out. Conditional Assessment... This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Fuelie is in impeccable condition.
