1976 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Additional Info:

For sale: 1976 Chevy K20 4x4, one family owned from 1976-2019. Truck was purchased new in arid central Montana by a local county Sheriff and then handed down to his daughter and son in law. They left the truck up at their cabin and used it sparingly over the years, it did have a plow on it at one time. Solid truck that's not rusty, does have an amateur repaint done by the son in law in his garage, and it's far from perfect. Odometer shows 77k miles, speedo quit two years ago but they were only driving it a couple thousand miles a year, so still well under 100k miles. Topper is included but chairs, cooler and fishing tackle are not. Exterior: 20 footer, looks good at the Home Depot lumber desk or coffee shop. Not rusty, never seen salt. Amateur repaint done by the son in law. He bought the high dollar paint, but didn't get the gun close enough so paint isn't smooth, finish is grainy. Could be color sanded and buffed if you want it nice. It looks better in pics and video than in person up close. Prep work also lacking, flaws if you look closely, and some overspray. He said the only rust was surface rust on wheel wells inside bed, which he sanded and treated, there are some pits there as shown in pics and video. Glass is good and windshield is new. Two small holes in hood where truck stop hood ornament once was. Looks good underneath, please see linked Photobucket album for detail pics including underside.

Interior: Pure 1970s, all original showing wear. Tears in original seat cover and dashpad. Glass is good and windshield is new. Door weatherstrips shrunk and need replacement. No rodent damage or smells, clean enough for the wife to ride in. Most everything works, wipers lights etc, heater works but one control knob broken. 8 track plays, but needs cleaning. CB isn't connected but it's all there.

Mechanical: Starts, runs, and drives out fine for an old truck. Original 350 engine pulls strong with no noticeable smoke or major leaks. Does have a lifter tick, I don't think it's a cam lobe, but better pencil in a new cam and lifters just in case. Still a lot cheaper than fixing rust on a midwest or east coast tetanus truck. 10 ply tires appear excellent with great tread and no weather cracks. Odometer/speedo not working. Needs a fuel tank filler hose on passenger side tank, leaks when filling. They are $20 from LMC. Haven't used left gas tank at all, plan on draining that one before use. This is a vintage vehicle, it's not new and will need work. If you haven't owned older vehicles before, adjust your expectations accordingly.

Pricing/Misc: This truck is NO RESERVE and will sell, and it might go cheap. If you're looking for a minty survivor, this isn't your truck. If you're looking for a decent affordable 4x4 to use, this might be the one. Reasonable transport is available, I will drive it to meet your transporter and help load it. Title is clear and in my name, buyer will need to get insurance upon purchase as I will cancel mine. I will store it after sale for 30 days, after that $100/month storage will be due.
