1979 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

I bought this car on another auction over a year ago. I was told the engine had been rebuilt There was 80,000 miles on it at that time.. It has always ran well and I have no reason to doubt what I was told. My plan was to have the interior restored and a new paint job. I never got around to it. My mechanic has said it is very rare to find a car this old in this good of condition. Mostly speaking about what he saw underneath the car. Always gets thumbs up when taking it out for a drive. But it mostly sits in the garage and do not have the time or ambition to complete the job of making it look like new. It would need new carpets and seat covers etc. so the interior needs work. currently it has seat covers and for me it is fine. The paint shows ware, chipping and dulling, It does have some pretty nice art work on the hood it is called Montezuma's eternal love. It is signed and I was told the guy who did the work was famous for the work he does. I do not remember the name but it is signed but still can not figure out the complete name. Brakes are good, tires in good shape, and runs good. occasionally when coming off the freeway I do get kind of a bumping and it goes away. I am not a mechanic but suspect at some point that issue will need to be looked into. But had it close to two years always starts and is fun to drive. Like other vettes it tends to get hot while driving and it will need a good heat shield under the carpets when the carpets are replaced. Like I said I am not a mechanic but to me the car runs and looks great. With a little work it can look a lot better when it is completely restored it would be awesome to see.
