1964 Chevrolet Corvette -- Additional Info:

This is a very nice example of a C2 Sting Ray. It has been repainted in its factory original color and meticulously restored with some very nice upgraded performance enhancing features. It is a very nice car and one certainly worth taking a deep look at it. Check it out. The fastback Stingray body style is stunning to begin with, and Silver Blue Metallic is arguably one of the prettiest colors that it was ever coated with. This... is the original code 912A paint that the car was delivered with new and while the paint was recoated a while back, it was obviously done right because it looks like it was just completed. The bullet like front end has a crossed racing flag emblem on the front of the spear that disappears back into the hood scoop. Hideaway headlights mesh with the sharp leading edge when they are tucked, and do their rotational dance to provide light at night. Chrome dresses out the front of the car with a horizontal grill and the split front bumpers. A flip up fuel cap is centered on the rear of the V-shaped fastback and a Corvette Sting Ray badge appears on the right rear. Taillights are trimmed in chrome along with another sharp looking split bumper and chrome tailpipes peek out through the lower valence. Open the door and you will find a Blue interior that is the perfect compliment to the Silver Blue paint. The door panel itself has a pleated upper section and a smooth lower with chrome piping between the two. The bucket seats are black, look great with the blue interior, and are comfortable with pleated seating surfaces and smooth side bolsters. A wood tone, three spoke steering wheel has a crossed racing flag center button and sits in front of the driver's side of the classic Corvette double hump dashboard. Tucked under that dash cowl is a 160-mph speedometer on the left with a tach on the right and smaller gauges for the engine functions in the left and right lower corners. The central tower of controls contains the knobs for the ventilation system as well as a clock and a vertically mounted radio. A shifter for the manual transmission indicates 5-speeds and is the first sign of some performance enhancements to be found under the hood. Pop the hood, fold it forward and you will find a new GM crate 383 stroker motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. It is colorful with a blue free flow air filter along with blue Aeroquip fittings for fuel and coolant. A 4-barrel carburetor feeds an Edelbrock intake manifold as well as Edelbrock heads topped by black valve covers with a red bowtie and Chevrolet lettered in white. Adding to the show is a chrome alternator, billet pulleys, and a Wilwood master cylinder. Headers get the spent gases out and flowing back through Magnaflow mufflers while the power this motor makes is sent back through a Tremec 5 speed transmission to a rear end outfitted with 3.36 gears. Everything under this car is as clean as the top with a powder coated frame and components, new bushings throughout, and Bilstein shocks. The rubber meets the road through 235/60R15s in the back and 225/60R15s in the front mounted on 5-spoke alloy wheels that look awesome on this Sting Ray. Sharp looking, fast and fun. Come on down and take a look for yourself.
