1990 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway Twin Turbo Aerobody 6 Speed Convertible Additional Info:

Up for sale is a very rare 1990 Callaway Twin Turbo Aerobody 6 speed Corvette. This also comes in one of the rarest C4 colors Turquoise Metallic. This comes with the aerobody kit with custom wheels. This car has a storied history. This was originally a Callaway owned car for the first two years and was at Malcom Konner Chevrolet. It was then sold to a tennis pro in Europe who then sold it to John Kyle. During that time they replaced the engine around the 30k mile mark and did other things to bring the car up to 1991 Callaway Model year specs. We are the fourth owners of the car.

This was my father's car and I am selling due to his recent passing. I have receipts and documents itemizing tens of thousands of dollars worth of work. Most recent major work was done in 2014 which included cylinder head work, head gaskets, water pump and replacement of most hoses and turbo lines. Again there are not many parts on this engine that are original and have not been professionally replaced. The car also has a hurst six speed short shifter installed.

The tires, brakes etc are all good. All power options work, air and cruise also work like they should. The car runs, shifts and drives fine. The axles, clutch and other transmission related components are newer as well. No weirs grind or pop outside or anything. All lights work as well. I have had the car up to triple digit speeds with no problems or concerns with stability. The car builds boost as it should as well. Everything that I have tried on the car works with the exception of the emergency brake which does not appear to be hooked up and the rear hatch release button does not seem to work either. I tried both the yellow release button in the center console and the one behind the driver seat. For this reason I was unable to take down the top. I am unsure as to why, there could be something that I am not doing? There is an engine light that states INFL REST in the center engine info area, previous documents from other owners have stated that this has been on a for a while and is not an area for concern. Please check out the video that I have posted for a complete walk around. This is a nice car but it is almost 30 years old and has 90k+ miles on it, this is definitively a driver's car and would benefit from a good detailing and some other misc interior trim refreshing. Paint is still sharp. It has been well maintained but it is not a brand new Corvette. I have done my best to describe the Corvette, most of this has been pieced together by the hundreds of pages of documents that I have.

Update 05/07/2019
I did some research into why the top would not come down. I was able to toggle the rear hatch release switch on the driver door to get the rear hatch to release. After toggling the door switch I was also able to use both the yellow release button in the center console and the one behind the driver seat. I have uploaded pictures of the car with the top down.
