Quality Pre-Owned Vehicles That Are Fun To Buy!

Thank you for considering my vehicle! My name is Ed Zarick and I have been a licensed and bonded, independent auto dealer for over 27 years here in the Sunshine State. Florida dealer licensed as Ed's Florida Cars. For over the past 17 years, I have sold literally hundreds of quality cars and trucks at great prices here on eBay Motors and will continue to do so for years to come. I work by myself and I can afford to sell for less than the car lots do. This is no part-time endeavor for me! It's what I do to support my family! In order for me to stay competitive in a crowded market place, I have to work harder then the other guy to earn your business and that is what I do. You will always get 100% personalized service to be sure your experience is a good one. Never any extra "dealer fees" or other ridiculous add-ons, just a simple and honest, no-nonsense approach that is easy to deal with. I want to earn your business now and in the future! Just check my feedback, it speaks volumes!

All my offerings are put through a service/safety check and road test to be sure they are safe and road worthy. I make sure the oil has been changed and do an inspection of the brakes, belts, hoses, cooling system, fluid levels, etc. Of course, every vehicle will ride and drive with the engine and transmission performing as expected. If you would prefer to have a third party inspect the car before bidding, I am most willing to help you facilitate that. I know of several shops in town that will deal with you directly or you are welcome to locate one on your own. Either way, I will deliver the car there for you and pick it up after inspection for no extra charge. Of course, the shop would charge a nominal fee and would bill you directly, but I will even reimburse your inspection charges if you end up buying the vehicle!!!

I know it can be hard to buy a vehicle that you can't see in person, so I will do my best to present it as well as I possibly can through pictures and accurate description. What you will get from me is an honest, down to earth presentation with any notable cosmetic issues disclosed. What you won't get is a flowery, over exaggerated sales pitch that makes a car seem better than new or bigger than life! Check my feedback and you will see what other happy customers have to say. That's my best advertisement! If you have ANY questions at all, please feel free to call me on my mobile phone @ 239-940-4170. I am more than willing to to address any concerns you may have about the vehicle, the price, finalizing the deal, taking possession or any other details. If there is ANYTHING at all I can do to help you make your decision, please just let me know!! I want to be better than the "other guys"!

Well, on to the vehicle! Just so you know, whether you decide to fly in and drive home or have the vehicle shipped, I will assist you any way I can on this end by setting up the transport or meeting with you at a mutual convenient time. I am very easy to work with!!! Please be sure to read the bidding/buying guidelines at the bottom of the page, they are very important. I thank you in advance for your business and your trust in me!

Selling this 1970 Chevy Corvette Convertible out of a long term collection with a matching numbers 454 big block and 4-speed manual transmission! In it's original color of Monza Red with black interior and black top. Classic muscle car that is only increasing in value, especially if someone wants to to take it to the next level. Hard to find with the original motor and transmission, so this is the one to invest in! Now, it is a 49 year old, mostly original, unrestored Corvette, so it's not going to be like new and can either be tinkered with a bit to enjoy now or be a great foundation for a frame off restoration. By the way, when I got this car, the tires were badly dry rotted so I had a brand new set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's installed and a new Quadrajet carb. I wanted to have some fun with it myself, but because of some business changes, I have decided to go ahead and sell it. I have 50 detailed pictures below that are part of the description so you can know what you are buying. Here is as thorough a description that I can give you. I am not a Vette expert! If there is something I can check for you to clarify anything, please let me know. I will do the best I can to help, but remember this car is sold "as is" with no guarantees or warranties of any kind. With that said, here we go!

Exterior- It has been repainted in the past and is in very nice driver condition. The paint finish is very shiny as you can see, but they skipped the proper prep work beforehand. You can see the surface spiderweb stress cracks, very common on the older Vettes, here and there under the finish and there is a couple spots where the paint has flaked off. See the pictures below. I could not find any signs of previous collision repair, looks to me to be all original panels. I can see spots around the interior trim, etc. the original Monza Red and this repaint seems to be a couple shades more orange, but close enough to be considered original color. But still looks very good for a daily driver as you can see below and in person. I think the convertible top may be the original one, I know all the weatherstripping is. The top's not torn, but the plastic back window is badly fogged and is starting to pull away at a spot near the bottom. Again, see pics below. The chrome bumpers are in great condition! They still look real nice!

Engine/Transmission- The motor runs strong with a recent set of plugs/wires/points and new Quadrajet carb. Drives and shifts very well with a strong clutch, no synchro issues, tight brakes and is not overheating. Original block and heads, see the pictures below. I have a shot with the valve cover off to verify the numbers and you can see there is no oil sludge build up! Clean! May have been rebuilt in the past or the oil was always changed regularly. No engine knocks and no smoking out of the exhaust. Both heads have the same casting number and correct date code. The intake manifold is also original with a casting number of 3955287 and a date code D2870. The clutch feels great and seems to have a lot of life left. Matching numbers on the 4-speed trans also. See a picture of the stamping below. By the way, manual steering and brakes, but power can be added if you desired, all available aftermarket.

Interior- Appears to be original from 1970. Seats are decent, not all torn up but are showing some wear. Some cracks on the doorpanel armrests, etc. and the carpets should be replaced or dyed. Again, you can see it all in the pictures below. Fuel gauge, temp gauge and oil pressure gauge appear to be working. I know the vacuum headlights and windshield wipers are not working. Most likely a vacuum leak under the dash somewhere? Also, the emergency brake does not engage at all. Tried adjusting it, but the mechanism in the rear wheels needs replaced.

Underside- All original from 1970 other than a replaced fuel tank and replaced brake cylinders. The frame is very solid and just has the expected surface rust/corrosion you would find on an original 49 year old car. Plenty of pics for you to see.

Anyway, be sure to look over the features, options and the pictures below. This will give you an excellent overview to help with your decision. Overall, a pretty solid old car that would be worth a lot of money restored or if you are mechanically inclined, drive it around while fixing the little things and enjoy the way it is. PLEASE feel free to call me directly on my cell phone with any questions at all or to discuss a reasonable offer. You can reach me @ 239-940-4170. I want you to be completely comfortable with your transaction and enjoy the whole experience! And I do have a free and clear Florida title!!! The odometer is showing 11,251 miles, but of course with the age, it has to come with a mileage exempt title.

With all that is offered here, my buy it now price should make a lot of sense! Take advantage of a quick purchase with no chance of losing it to someone else or I would consider a close offer. It is sold this way so you know what the price is, honestly offered with no games! I do advertise many of my vehicles locally, but if it is still listed here, it's still for sale!

Please don't let the fear of buying sight unseen keep you from getting something you want. Just give me a call on my cell @ 239-940-4170 and we can talk about anything you need to know! Please be sure to look over my buying guidelines below, they should answer most of your questions.

Well, that's my vehicle! You can always bid with confidence on any of my offerings as I strive very hard to offer quality along with an honest description. I have literally sold hundreds of cars and trucks here on eBay and built a very strong feedback rating, so you can feel comfortable with whom you are dealing. If you have any questions or concerns about anything at all, I am always just a phone call away. My cell number is 239-940-4170 and I have it on Monday through Saturday from morning until late at night. PLEASE feel free to give me a ring! I thank you for your interest in my vehicle!

Bidding/Buying Policies

  • The advertised vehicle will be described as accurately as I can, but remember these are used vehicles, they will show signs as such. As stated before, each offering is checked over and inspected before selling, but you are not bidding on nor am I selling new or high priced certified pre-owned cars, so there may be parts of the vehicle that are not like new. Depending on the age of the vehicle, the various systems involved will be at different levels of wear/service life and there may be the typical small chips/dings, blems and other signs of normal wear, inside and out, that you would expect on used vehicles. Obviously, I cannot possibly show or detail every little thing that would be on any used car. I will do my best to describe all the major things so you are clear on what you are buying, but I encourage you to call with any questions you may have before bidding. I want you to be well informed! You can always get ahold of me on my cell @ 239-940-4170. I will be more than glad to walk around the car while on the phone and describe everything I see to give you a hands on view. PLEASE READ MY FEEDBACK! It speaks volumes of how I do business! Of course, all vehicles are sold "as-is" with no warranty expressed or implied unless there is any remaining factory warranty. Cars are mechanical things and mechanical things can stop working! Especially electrical components. Like a light bulb, they can work perfectly, than all of a sudden, not! I am not responsible for check engine, service or other indicator lights or what ever else may stop working after you purchase. I have made all my history statements based on information readily available to me and cannot warrant or guarantee the information or statements as such. Also, there may or may not be extra keys, manuals, remote fobs or other accessories. If not pictured, it's probably not there.
  • I ask that all successful bidders please contact me within 24 hours of auction end to begin process of completing the sale.
  • Customer is responsible to obtain their own insurance on any vehicle purchased. Insurance is provided by the transport company for all vehicles during shipping, but my insurance ceases to cover anything once it is sold. Sold being described as when funds are received in full, not at the time the vehicle is delivered.
  • According to Federal guidelines, all vehicles 10 or more years old are sold exempt from mileage guarantees unless specifically mentioned. If I have documentation to back up the mileage on these older cars, I will.
  • Payment must be made by cash-in-person, cashiers check, money order or bank to bank wire transfer. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit will be expected within 3-5 days following close of auction and remainder paid within 7-10 days. If you have a special situation, please feel free to call ahead of time to discuss. I am very easy to deal with!
  • Florida residents must include 6% sales tax. According to Florida law, if an out of state purchaser takes delivery of a vehicle in the state of Florida I am obligated as a licensed dealer to collect sales tax at a rate equal to the purchasers state sales tax and not to exceed 6%. The purchaser will then be given a notarized form from the State of Florida proving tax paid to present to their tax collectors office for sales tax credit. You DO NOT pay sales tax twice! Any additional fees or taxes will be the responsibility of the purchaser. This does not apply to vehicles shipped out of state, only ones picked up in Florida.
  • Buyer assumes the cost and responsibility of shipping. If you are going to fly in and drive home, I will gladly pick you up from the Ft. Myers International Airport and provide you with a free 30 day temporary plate for your vehicle. You must have insurance before a temporary plate can be issued. Temporary plates are not provided for vehicles shipped, only ones picked up in person.
  • All vehicles do have clear titles and are guaranteed to be clean and free of any liens or brands such as salvage or rebuilt. Occasionally, a title will be in transit from the bank or dealership because of a loan payoff and may not be in my immediate possession, but will be processed to you as soon as physically possible.
  • Any buyer with a negative rating will be ignored unless he contacts me first with a good explanation. There is no sense in running up the prices by people who have problems following through with commitments. Remember you are entering into a legally binding contract.
  • By the bidding and/or purchase of this vehicle, buyer obligates him or her self to agree with all guidelines and statements made on this auction page by the seller including "as-is" no warranty statements, sales tax regulations, and insurance requirements.

  • My promise to you is to be as fair, honest and helpful as possible. I have been in the car business for a long time and have enjoyed much success here locally and selling on E-Bay. That did not come about by mistreating my customers or underhanded dealings. Give me a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. You can e-mail me with any questions or feel free to give me a call on my mobile phone @ 239-940-4170. Thank you again!
