1969 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396 Additional Info:

Up for your bidding pleasure is my El Camino SS396.I bought it from Palm Springs Ca.area where I was told it was bought new.So it was there all its life before me and body wise it looks like it.The car is all original. I had it shipped here in 2014.Since then I've done most mechanical issues (mostly from age).They are;

· brake system complete includingmaster cylinder

· calipers, rotors, repack wheel bearings with seals, shoes, drums

· springs, rear cylinders, E-Brake cables

· Fan & Fan clutch

· rear differential Pinion seal & fluid change

· driveshaft u-joints

· springs and shocks

· sway bar bushings

· transmission master kit,

· steering gear box

· rebuilt front suspension complete

· rear trail arm bushings

· new tires.

The seller told me it had engine rebuild before he got it and it runs very well, no smoke and no noise.Very strong 396/350.Transmission is a TH400 and had a master kit installed by a reputable shop in 2014.The rear is a 12 Bolt Posi with 3:55 gear so mechanically, it's very healthy.

The gauges all work except amp gauge. The speedometerintermittently makes noise.Factory tach works well.Interior is original and needs refreshing including headliner. The seat belts are missing.

Obviously need body and paint. Its original color is code 71 Lemans blue. This car is the most solid car of this age I've seen, including the floors. The only rust we see is the right quarter panel as the pictures show.Something must of layed behind the panel to do that.I don't believe there's any rust repairs either. That's the only rust besides minor surface rust I see. The bumpers are nice and straight.

The block # is 3955272 and intake # is 3931067 D 28 9 (date code) the vin # is gone as they must have decked the block when rebuilt, probably before numbers mattered. The starter doesn't match well with flywheel, never did. Makes noisy starts.

All in all, the car is quick, runs and drives very well.Solid as they come. All original. Has F41 suspension. Feel free to call with any questions. I will be glad to assist with shipping, and can possibly deliver.
