Up for auction is a true one family survivor Malibu. This car was purchased new in 1977 at Hoffman Chevrolet in Bloomfield, NJ. The lady traded in her 1966 White Malibu on this brand new 1977 model. She had special ordered this car with power windows, AC and power bench seat. She wanted to get a blue interior like her 1966 but she could not get that year. The original owner sold the car to her nephew in 1992. He garage kept it and maintained itextremelywell and only put 7k miles on it since 1992. The body of this car is all original including the paint. There are a few small dings/chips and some small paint touch ups but overall is very clean and solid. The interior of this car is as close to new as you can get and you probably couldn't restore it any better than it is. The dash is like new, The carpet is in great shape, The seats and door panels are all like new. The only thing not original is the stereo and speakers. The power windows work fine but the seat does not slide forward or back but does lift up and down. The AC is complete but does not blow cold. The 305 V8 runs smooth and makes good power. The transmission shifts perfect through all of the gears. The front end is tight and the brakes stop nice and smooth. The tires have good tread but should be replaced due to cracking in between the treads. The floors, Frame and trunk are allsolidand as clean as the top of the car. There have been lots of questions about the headlights on this Malibu. This is a base Malibu so it has the round headlights. The higher trimpackageshad the square lights.
