An Original SS made into a 409 4speed car by previous owner who was a collector of 409 models, I had bought the car and since not an original 409 motor I decided to have a shop drop in a custom built Big Block then things got out of hand, carried away where do you stop type deal.I bought the car at an auction the body was super straight, all the trim and chrome is nice and the original looking interior was nice with the 409. The car Brought 28K at a collector auction.It now has about 2000 miles or less on a 714HP dynoded 572 from Skip White Racing. Added a heavy duty clutch and a new Tremic 5 speed overdrive, Heavy duty drive shaft and a brand new Moser 9" 3:70 rear end.Starting at the front bumper everything under the body is new.Griffen Aluminum radiator, electric fan, Front Hotchkiss swaybar, 605 steering system, all mounts, new BB springs and shocks, Block Hugger Headers into a complete 3 inch exhaust system with 3" electric cutouts piped back into the side outlets- a work of art., Holley fuel pump gauge and regulator, Heater core and new fan, battery, hoses, drive shafts and billet hanger bearing, all new heavy trailing arms, poly bushings, springs, rear sway bar, air shocks, Front and rear Wilwood disc brakes, new fuel tank and straps, rear led lights, front halogen lights with relays.The drive train on this car is simply new and I have driven several 400 mile runs with it. It runs cool even in a parade.The interior of the car probably came out of a low mile 409 donor as it is in good shape, it looks like an original car the speedo says 49000 miles, The headliner looks like new but original. All gauges work great, including the clock. The car handles like a much newer car with amazing power.It has Crager 17" SS wheels with Nitto tires and an extra set of rear rims and new nittos mounted in case you make too much smoke away from home! The Nittos really hook up and launch this car. It sounds incredible. It runs on pump gas but it runs super on a blend of 50% avgas.The car has had the floor boards patched, 2 mid body mount have the only rust. I believe the trunk pan has been replaced nice job. It is very clean front to back. It is an attention getter big time, shows very nice and when you open the hood people just stare. 2 small city trophies at car shows this summer. Need to move on to new projects Love the car. Always stored in climate controlled hanger. 28K for the car and another 40K in upgrades invested.
