Up for sale is my daily driver 1978 Chevy big 10 pick up truck!This truck is a ONE OWNER chevrolet pick up. This truck was sold new at a dealership here in northeast iowa to the owner of a construction company who used it as his personal truck. He retained the original build sheet delivery from new, papers along with all of the manuals and papers from when he bought it. the truck still has the new car dealership sticker on the tailgate. Really cool history and documentation. About a year ago, his daughter got the truck and used it around her farm. She knew I collected these vintage trucks so she sold it to me.
The truck comes with the factory 454 v8 automatic and is still, as far as I can tell 100 percent stock mechanically. This has factory A/C along with the scottsdale equipment trim and Big 10 trim etc, everything is listed on the data tags in pics and video and decoded with the vin etc. To her knowledge, the 43k miles were actual but as it is ten years or older I am selling miles exempt. The paint appears to be mostly original as you can see in the pics from the patina and fading etc. I saw minor touch up that was done throughout the years. We put on the side silver molding, the original was black and silver but missing some. If I were to keep the truck, I would clear coat the truck to preserve the patina. Really nice looking color and turns heads every time I drove it.
The truck starts right up on the first try with no knocks misses or smoke and drives down the road with no issues. The interior is original. the seats could use a seat cover and LMC trucks sells the plastic dash inlay that is cracked some, believe its around 90 dollars. everything is definitely usable the way it is in my opinion.Watch the video and look at pics as they do a great job showing the truck for what it is. Definitely you can use right away and have some fun with fun with it.
This truck can only go up in value as time goes on and These are only original once. Very cool survivor.
