1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:

Here we have a 1956 Chevy Bel Air 2 door Sedan. It needs total restoration. It runs but will not drive as the drivetrain needs work. The new owner will have to either arrange to have it shipped or pick it up and trailer it home. The engine is making a knocking noise upon initial start up, and once it’s warmed up it goes away at idle but can be heard when the motor is revved. It may be a rod bearing going bad. Also, the transmission shifts through the gears but makes a whining noise, I’m not sure why it’s doing that. Details - Small Block Chevy (unknown displacement and internals), Edelbrock Tunnel Ram with dual Edelbrock carburetors, long tube headers, aluminum radiator, power steering, automatic trans, B&M shifter, tilt steering column, black interior, bench seat, one piece fiberglass tilt nose, Cragar SS Wheels. The frame is solid, floors have been amateur-ly patched with sheetmetal, trunk floor has a couple holes and needs work. The body has nicks and scratches. The rear quarter panels are savable, the inner lips of them are solid. The doors on the car have bondo on them but the car comes with two solid doors in restorable condition. The lower hinge area on the driver’s side door could use attention. The interior is in fair shape. Dash lights and taillights work but the front headlights still need to be hooked up. This is a complete 56 Chevy Bel Air hot rod project that needs work, but it'll be awesome once it's done. Great candidate for a gasser or 60's / 70's / 80's style street machine. The car is located in Evergreen Park, Illinois 60805. A non refundable $250 dollar deposit is due through PayPal upon the completion of the auction. The remaining balance is due in cash within 2 weeks of the auction’s end, and the car needs to be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction’s end. The buyer is responsible for shipping. This vehicle is being sold in “as is” condition with no warranty expressed or implied. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Whoever wins the car I want to be certain they’re happy with it. Thanks for looking & happy bidding!
