1948 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:

This truck is being sold at NO RESERVE, there is no "buy it now" price, please don't ask!You are bidding to OWN the truck!
This is a 1948 G.M.C. 1/2 ton truck, rat rod style, obviously! The GMC is mounted to Chevy s10 frame, The engine is a 1972 Oldsmobile 350 rocket, with the 350 automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes. The engine has a Holley 4 barrel carb, new alternator, new radiator, new high performance distributor, new electric fan, New exhaust pipes, new power brake booster and master cylinde, new battery, new gas tank and lines. The truck is "body dropped" onto the frame, meaning it is lower than stock, but no modifications have been made to the suspension, so it rides like a stock s10 would, and there is plenty of room to bag it, or drop it more! It currently rides on 20 inch wheels and has new, smooth running boards.
The truck has been clear coated, and has all new tinted glass, and new window seals. The interior has 2 new bucket seats, center console, and a vintage B&M shifter mounted on the floor. The floors are in good shape, with truck bed liner for protection. Trans tunnel and firewall have been modified for the body drop/engine swap. All the wiring has been replaced with modern wiring, new ignition switch, new headlight switch, new turn signal switch and tail lights were installed, front marker lights are now turn signal lights. (1948 trucks did not come with turn signals). This truck starts right up and sounds tough! It has good power, and it stops and steers better than it did in "48!This truck is not a new Toyot, expect that you may want to finish it to your own taste and/or may need additional work, it is 70 years old!You are bidding to OWN the truck, not the right of first refusal! The $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable, truck is being sold as is, and to the highest bidder. do not bid of you do not intend to follow through with the sale, get permission from your bank/significant other. Feel free to ask questions or set up a time to come see the truck and I will do my best to accommodate you thanks for looking!
