You are bidding on a solid and mostly complete 1940 CHEVROLET1424 MODEL SERIES 3/4 TON 8 1/2' "LONGBOX"PICKUP TRUCK.The 1424 model series is a Canadian made truck which isthe same as the US produced 3600 series. This truck is super rare as you see a lot of 1940 1/2 Ton & 1 Ton trucks but when is the last time you saw a 3/4 Ton with a box on it. Although commonplace these days the 3/4 Ton truck size was just coming into popularity at the time era. It is essentially rustfree(couple of small areas just above lower lip on tailgate, an area on middle of right passenger fender and small area of passenger side cab floor as pictures show) There are a few "bruises"(dings and dents) from its use over the years resulting in a few fender welds. The drivers door is stuck but the passenger door opens and closes with all the glass missing. Interior is solid and complete but very weathered due to the missing glass. It has a crank out windshield which is currently stuck. The tires all hold air and are fine for moving it around the yard but would need replacing before putting back on road. Has Artillery style wheels of the split ring variety. Amazing original condition for a 79 year old vehicle. History: It is believed that this truck was originally used by "Y Unit" of Canadian Military Intelligence stationed in Grand Prairie Alberta during WWII. After the war it found its way to a farm in the neighboring province of Saskatchewan where it spent over 70 years. I will provide all the necessary paperwork to title in your state of choice.
