1968 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:

2nd Owner~Parked in 1988 till April 2017 when I got it~Rare Optioned 396/325 hp numbers matching.Arizona 6 passenger wagon, has turbo 400 automatic transmission, factory A/C (compressor not mounted correctly but spins nicely). Tilt, Speed Warning,Luggage rack, two tone paint (was white roof) door frame trim, door edge guards, front bumper guards, front corner parking lights, rear speaker and power tailgate window(not working). Dealer installed tow package including the transmission cooler with block offs on the radiator and brake adjuster under the column. Not sure but I think it has 3:55 gears, didn't find a build sheet under the seats and did not want to look any further since I wanted to leave it alone. Was parked in 1988, still has gum wrappers in the un-smoked ash trays from the 80's. Pull down shades above the inside of the rear doors, vintage and orange reflector tape on the doors. Front alignment-will need new front tires and radiator(original) needs professional cleaning out. Has some rust in the windshield channel lower, not sure about upper, sides are fine. One spot on the drivers side rear C pillar by the back side window, shown in the photos with doors open. Some in the rear lower quarter behind the wheels and one spot in the rear lower compartment. I have lots of photos I can email since I ran out of space here, just let me know. Its very smooth on the road after it warms up, new wheel barrings in the front along with new wheel cylinder seals. Engine was rebuilt along with transmission before it was put away before 1988, has Not had a tune up since. Has one of the manifold bolts on the flange broken off, small exhaust leak there. A true survivor that draws attention every where it goes, local stores for grocery to car shows were its one of the few wagons around. Front seat is torn up in spots mostly where your back goes, front carpet is worn down and we removed the headliner which was fallen apart and rear area needs attention, back seat is nice. Has grass in areas that we left alone, gets attention at shows and has not been to a car wash since I got it, washed by hand. The wagon is listed locally, may sell and end auction without notice, don't wait, NADA shows this to worth much more, my reserve is well under the low retail without the 25% added for the 396 and A/C.
