Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1978 Z28 which is in nice restored condition and priced to sell. This factory Z28 is loaded with very sought after factory options such as: 350 engine, 4 Speed manual transmission, Factory Air conditioning, 3.73 rear axle, tilt wheel, and F41 sport suspension. This Z28 features a very nice repaint in factory Yellow which still shows well, a restored Tan cloth interior, and a great running 350 LM1 engine and M21 4 speed transmission. This Z28 comes with several receipts and photos from the restoration which occurred around 10 years ago. This Z28 is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Yellow over Tan cloth interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the build sheet pictured above. Also included with this Z28 is the factory build sheet, original car manual, and several restoration receipts and photos. Although this Factory Z28 is not 100% factory correct it is still a factory Yellow over Tan Z28, with a factory 4 speed transmission. The miles are showing as "Actual" on the Ohio title at 43,449.

Exterior

The Yellow exterior is in terrific overall condition. This Z28 was treated to a professional repaint in factory Yellow around 10 years ago and still shows very well today. The paint is in great overall condition with a great shine and gloss and is smooth to the touch. Both bumpers are in great shape shape with no flaking or faded paint. The previous owner liked the looks of the 1979 Z28 decals and front spoiler so he added those to this car during the repaint. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are nearly brand new with full tread left and are sized 235/60/15 and the Factory wheels are OEM originals and are in excellent shape with no curb rash. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original style trunk mat. Door seals, window seals, trunk seal, and window sweeps have all been replaced. All the glass is "LOF" factory original outside of the replacement windshield. Any rust prior to repaint was addressed with new metal such as a few floor patches and new quarters.

Interior

The Tan interior of this Z28 is in splendid restored condition. The new seat covers are in near perfect condition with no noticeable wear anywhere outside of the drivers seat bolster. The seat foams were replaced as well. The carpet was replaced and is in excellent condition with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in terrific condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in excellent condition as well. The stereo has been upgraded to a modern digital cassette unit with auxiliary inputs with nice 6x9 speakers. The door panels have been replaced and are in great condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The package tray has been replaced and is in good condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock and tach. The horn, stereo, and blower motor work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.

Mechanical

This Z28 is in great mechanical condition and runs and drives very well. The transmission was rebuilt in 2009 and the car shifts very smoothly, see photo of receipt. The AC compressor was removed by previous owner but comes with the car. The previous owner drove this Z28 every year for 10 years in a row to an annual car show that was 300 miles round trip from his front door. I removed all the stickers from that show that were stuck to the windshield. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Z28 is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should. The exhaust has newer dual mufflers and headers and has an excellent exhaust note at idle and cruising speeds. Around 10 years ago the engine was completely removed from the car andn rebuilt with a mild build then reinstalled in the car. There are several photos documenting the build. The intake manifold has been changed to an Edelbrock aluminum intake and the carb. was changed to an Eldebrock unit. A newer Accel HEI distributor was installed with new spark plug wires with new spark plugs. The radiator was replaced as well and the car runs cool at idle or cruising speed. This car is a blast to drive with the 4 speed manual transmission on a nice sunny day. Also, the engine bay is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory AC car but the compressor was removed by the previous owner but comes with the sale.
