UP FOR BIDS is a beautiful 1942 Chevy truck, about as solid as your gonna find, she's been preservedsince1972 when it was last titled, 11koriginal miles on the odometer, this truck was any army core fire truck until 1972 when it was retired and registered for public use. I purchased this off the gentleman who acquired the truck in 1972 and I even have the original title! she starts runs and drives as she should, with only a few minor issues, it has no tail lights on the truck, the were built into the original fire body, and one wheel cylinder needs to be replaced, I have it blocked off and have been using itfor some time as is, she goes down the road great, throw your choice of body's on the back and she's ready for the town, the doors open and close perfect, as does the hood, the cowl vent opens and closes nicely, even the crank out windshield works great, the truck is pictured with diamond plate running boards that were installed with the fire body, I still have the original Chevy running boards that came with it, those are included in the sale as well. this truck is rot free. the only imperfection on the body is at the bottom of the right fender where the running board mounts, it has a small quarter size hole overall she is a survivor! I try to explain all my auctions as best as possible, PLEASE UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BUYING! IT'S A 1942 TRUCK AND SHOULD BE VIEWED AS SUCH YOU ARE NOT BUYING A BRAND NEW TRUCK.
