1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Collector car Additional Info:

I'm listing my 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Town Sedan 2 door that I've owned for approx. 6 months. I sent it out to get some repairs/upgrades, but it took so long that I lost interest. In a few days you might be able to see on my Ebay history that I just purchased a 68 Firebird.
This Fleetmaster still has a 216 (6 cylinder) engine and 3 speed manual (column shift) transmission. The car runs and drives as it should. The car is equipped with Fenton headers and dual exhaust, which has a great sound. The car just came back from getting a brake job, valve job, carb rebuild, suspension lowered etc....The only major safety equipment that was not fixed due to lack of time was the emergency brake!
The body is in driver quality condition, there are a few spots that need attention. There is an area adjacent to the driver's side rear wheel well that the paint has popped, please look at the picture. There is also a small amount of surface rust under the chrome belt line molding, please look at the picture. There is also an area on the front driver's side fender where the rear edge of the front hood has gouged the metal. These are not by any means things that need attention right away, but I wanted you to be aware of them!
All of the side vent windows open up, front and rear windows roll up and down as they should. The front driver's side window is cracked, but all the other windows are in good condition. All the metal work (trim) is present, but as you can see from the photographs some of it needs to be replated. The front and rear bumpers are fairly inexpensive, approx. $150.00-$200.00 each.
I decoded the factory Cowl Tag, which is located on the passenger side of the firewall, using several internet sources (please look at the photograph of the tag):
Style No 48-1011 (1948 Town Sedan)Body No N 2541 (Built in Norwood, Ohio plant/ vehicle production sequence of 2541)Trim No 151 (interior consists of Tan Striped Pile Fabric)Paint No 379 ( Two-tone factory paint scheme of Battleship Gray Metallic upper and Dove Gray Metallic lower). Unknown if these are the actual colors on the car now!
Again, this is a great driver quality classic. The Town Sedan is a really cool 2 door body style that is NOT seen very often. Drive it as is or make it a hot rod, customize it etc....... On Friday I drove it to a local cruise night and it drew a lot of attention and I got a lot of compliments. People loved the old school lowrider look and the original worn interior. The only exterior upgrade was the dropped suspension utilizing bolt on parts from Butchscoolstuff.com, which gives this Fleetmaster a little attitude. Be advised that this is a 70 year old car that creaks and rattles now and then. If you are use to power steering, power brakes and doing 70 mph on the freeway this isn't the car for you. You should be looking at a 60's-70's muscle car!
I posted a Buy it Now price, which I believe is a more than fair, so we don't have to play games! Do your research and see how many Fleetmaster Town Sedans are for sale, the condition and the price. Also look at all the many ways they can be customized.
I have a clean Title for the Fleetmaster, which will be provided to the winning bidder once the funds are cleared. I accept Paypal, certified bank checks and or money transfers. No sales out of the United States due to scammers. Shipping is your responsibility, but I will be on scene to assist your transporter. If you need a transporter please call me, I have a very fair transporter that I'm currently working with that will give you a no BS guaranteed estimate.
I've been an Ebay member for the past 15 years without any negative issues. I've sold and purchased classic cars, sold motorcycles overseas etc... I treat people the way I expect to be treated. If you have any other questions, concerns or would like additional pictures or a video please text or call me at (203)5 two 1-seven eight 5 8. If I'm at work I will call you back when I'm free.
Thanks,Louie

Please take note that all the interior (faux wood) dash/window surround trim is intact. I never got around to clean it. Someone advised me to clean it and shoot some clear on it, but I don't want to ruin it.
The reserve was dropped $500.00 because several people have complained that shipping is too costly. I bet none of them will bid or Buy it Now lol.
If you have any questions fell free to call or text me at (203)5 two 1-7 eight five 8

Someone asked how low the Fleetmaster actually is and I answered them without posting it publicly for all to see. The car is only dropped 2-3 inches (I have to look at the part numbers) but it looks lower on the main picture due to the rear fender skirts and the the grass in the foreground. The car does NOT bottom out! If anyone is worried if it will go on the auto transporter I will remove them. The drivers usually remove them to line up the rear tires on and off the tracks anyway, but they just throw them in the car. Prior to their arrival I will make it a point to remove the skirts, wrap the skirts in blankets and secure them in the vehicle (where they will not bang on any exterior panels).
Please ask questions, no such thing as a stupid question. My descriptions are probably too long, but I want YOU to be happy with your purchase!
Thanks,
Louie
