1962 Honduras Maroon Corvette, drive and show! Welcome to Sweet Rides of Florida!
The 1962 model ended the first generation of Corvettes, later known as the C1. It was the beginning of a long series and we are now getting ready for new C8 coming soon...

Our offer today is a very fine example of a quality driver-plus Corvette which is very presentable and is good running condition, having the same owner since 1992. First of all, note the recent paint job in the correct (and possibly original color) Honduras Maroon, a base coat clear coat showing great! The Chrome bumpers are also very shinny with no scratches or signs of wear. Tires are new, the "dog-dish" Chrome hubcaps are period correct and look right. Interior is complete and appears that it was freshened up some time ago. The gauges are functional (gas, alternator, temperature, pressure), so is the tach which shows a redline of 6500 (!) RPM. Lights work, wipers work, radio works!

Engine is a correct appearing small block Chevrolet which replaced the original one. There are no identifying marks on the engine pad as it was decked probably on rebuild. Engine is crisp, performs as it should, as well as the 4-speed manual transmission endowed with a Hurst shifter. Undercarriage is very clean and there are visible signs that the rubber parts were addressed recently. The convertible top is present, but had better days and may need replaced sometime soon as seen in pics.

All in all, this is a fine example of a very nice, ready to go first generation Corvette which will not break the bank, but surely has a potential to appreciate while you drive it and show it!
