1961 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:

Up for sale is my 1961 Bubbletop. I've owned it since 2012. After I bought it I decided to do a frame off. I've driven it less than 500 miles since then. It's silver blue metallic, a factory Chevy color, it's got a Cars Inc gray interior. It has the numbers matching original 348 with 4bbl carb. Pertronix HEI distributor. It has a 350 transmission and runs and drives very nice, shifts smooth. It has a new Ford 9 inch rear with Moser axles that is shortened to 57 inches instead of the original 60 inch, I still have the original rear too. 15x8 Tru Ray wire wheels with new tires. It has suspension upgrades including all four tubular control arms and rear boxed lower trailing arms with Y-bone rear upper. It has 3 inch drop springs up front with factory rear springs. Heavy duty carrier bearing and slip yoke driveshaft. Rebuilt drum brakes all around. I had the seat trim and headliner trim chromed instead of the factory anodized aluminum. The grilles and glovebox are also chromed, I felt they look better this way. I added engraved outside door handles also. All original chrome was rechromed and the stainless straightened and polished. I reused the original side and rear glass but replaced the windshield. Original style stainless fuel tank added. No p/s or p/b because I didn't need it, but can be added easily. It has an air ride switch panel installed but does not have air ride, good candidate for it though, along with some staggered wheels. Needs horns installed along with glovebox, I have the glovebox, I was thinking about putting a a CD player there so I left it out. Speedometer needs rebuilt or replaced, it made a noise when I hooked it up. It has chrome bullets where the wipers go, because I didn't plan on driving in rain, I do have the 2 speed wiper motor though. All new harnesses all around. All lights work. Over 50k invested not including my time and labor of love. It's not a perfect 100 point show car but very nice. I built it to be driven. I've owned it for 6 years and I think it's time to move on.
