It was 1967, gas was $.30 a gallon, insurance was cheap, and muscle cars were inexpensive. That same year,the Bow tie division rolled out what is thought by many, to be one of the best years for the Chevelle. It's blue collar meet white collar. The 67 sports bulging muscular features, yet maintains dignity and sophistication under a solid linear foundation accented with lots of chrome inside and out.

Originally assembled in Atlanta, Georgia, this beautifully restored example of a Chevelle SS originally started out life as a 2 door sport coupe Malibu.With white exterior and black interior, it looks as though this Chevelle is sharply dressed in a 3 piece tux. Under the bonnet you'll find a nicely detailed (and healthy) 327 small block that is believed to have been rebuilt. The car spent nearly all of it's life in South Central Texas, and was only recently moved to Wisconsin, where it spent the last year in an enclosed trailer, seeing the light of day on only a few occasions.

During a quick walk around, you'll notice the aggressive stance and striking pearl white paint. Someone did their homework when choosing the right shoes for this ride, the 20" Ridler chrome wheels with new 245/35/ZR20 rubberlook great, fit perfectly, and tuck up underneath the car JUST the way you'd want themto. All the typical flair donning an SS has been added. The all-important big block hood looks new. Also, you'll see 396 fender, grill, and tail panel badges. Super Sport quarter panel badging is present, and rounding it all off is a new set of side mirrors and exterior door handles. The bumpers are in great condition and have likely been recently replaced as well.

The pearlescent white paintlooks great, and has recently been color sanded and buffed with 3M buffing compunds. The body reflects the geographical historyof this car and in my opinion, is in nice condition, showing what I believe to be all of it's original sheet metal. The paint is as it was when the car was purchased last year, and has likely been painted within the last few years.It showsfewnoticeabledefects. There are a couple blisters on the lower part of the car on the driver side, as well as a couplesmall rock chips here and there on the rockers. The depth and sparkle of this pearl white paint just POPS, and I wish there was some way to illustrate that through photography, but it's just not the same as standing next to the car.

The undercarriage has aged well. Initially you'd see there is a patch panel on the passenger side front floor, about 15" square. (see photo) After that you'll notice everything is super solid and has been undercoated as well. There are a few sticky spots in the rear under the back seat area, that could maybe use a couple small metal patches in the future, aswell as the front driver side floor near the gas pedal. We're talking small patches in my opinion, maybe 6"x6" probably that could be addressed.

Upon entrance to the cockpit, you'll see a freshenedblackinterior. The original metal bucket seat backshave all been media blasted, painted, and fitted with new chrome piping. The refurbished factory original console features new bezels and paint. You might even notice the familiar smell of new carpet. The steering wheel features a correct SS horn button and the right side of the dash shows a SuperSport badge near the glove box.The windshield appears to be brand new, I see NO signs of pitting, scratching or wear whatsoever. The interior also has many new parts including front and rear door panels, arm rests, window cranks, door handles, dome light, window felts, and so much more.

Tunes are going to be left up to the lucky new owner. With everyone these days doing their own things with MP3s, streaming media, Satellite, radio, hands free… it’s hard to satisfy everyone. it was decided that the best route to go would be none at all. The new owner can, at his/her discretion, install a radio to suit.

The trunk is nicely detailed with factory correct A/C delco black and aqua spatter paint, and very solid in my opinion. The trunk appears to be all factory original metal with no visible signs of patchwork.

Now, getting to the heart of this beast... Pop the hood and right away you'll see something that makes you wonder. I know, it's a small block, and you saw all that badging on the outside that said "396" Well, I'll tell you this little 327 small block sounds SUPER healthy The 2 speed powerglide is long gone, and the V8 is backed by a TH350 3 speed automatic. Under the Edelbrock air cleaner there is a black Holley performance carb complete with electric choke (not hooked up) and an Edelbrock performer RPM intake manifold. I hate fixing something that's not broken, but I wanted to pull numbers off that bumpstick because I'd be willing to bet my paycheck on that cam being aftermarket. The car sounds great too, with that being handled by a set of long tube headers emptying into some shiny 2.5" duals. All that sound funnels through somenew-looking Flowmaster mufflers that dump just before the rear axle. (see photo) Finishing up the engine bay is a chrome dress up kit. New valve covers, timing marks, and dip stick, and breather. A new fuel pump was also recently added. You'll see an original Harrison radiator up front as well! No power robbers here either, with manual brakes and steering, you'll be using all the ponies for the road!

You could, if you wanted to, stick that 396 that's been sitting in the back corner of your garage, under this hood and add probably an extra 10k to the value of this car. Or enjoy it the way it is. The choice is yours to make and that's part of what makes this a great car to buy. There's still room for improvement and by doing so, you get to bond with the car and make it your own.

The current owner (a family member), who bought the car last year, with spontaneity, is planning to erect a building for toys on his property, and so has decided to sell this family treasure to help with financing. The car is titled, registered, currently plated and insured in his name, so no worries there. We also have color photo copies of original titles for this car dating back to 1972 with this car being registered in San Antonio, TX.

You won't find a lot of 67 Chevelles at Fire-sale prices, and you know if you've been shopping for second-generation chevelles for a while. They have always commanded prices similar to that of much rarer muscle cars. That said, I believe this to be a great opportunity for someone to score a great deal on a quality car. I try to be completely upfront and honest when listing a car online, almost to a fault because many of you who could be bidding will not have the opportunity to view the car in person prior to auction end. That said, I wanted to disclose a few quirks I have noticed about the car. The speedometer reads inaccurately and there is no key for the glove box which is currently locked. There are a couple electrical issues that should be resolved. I noticed only 1 working headlight, could be loose wires, bad bulbs, bad dimmer, not sure. Also, the dash lights aren't working, nor do the wipers work.The heater core isn't hooked up and the HVAC controls don't seem to be either. Thesearen't deal breaking types of issues and shouldn't prevent you from enjoying the car right away, as this car will likely be a fair-weather, weekend cruiser.
