Brief History of the Car:

In 1973 I had Corvette Fever. My dad offered me the new car of my choice upon graduation from high school--- if I would not buy a Corvette. I declined his generous offer--but I had a job, money and Knew what I wanted.

I actually purchased a 1966 Coupe 1 week prior to purchasing this car. But--- when I saw this Red Corvette--I fell in love with it and immediately sold the coupe and purchased this one. I gave $1875.00 for the car when I purchased it. Unlike many other who looked back and wished they had kept a specific car----I kept mine.

The car was bought in 1973 following my Junior Year in High School (I am 59 years old). I have been the only owner for this car for the last 42 years. I have had many offers for the car over the years (including the opportunity to trade it in college for a New Corvette of my choice by a local Chevrolet dealer) but I have never priced the car to anyone for fear they might buy it. The car has always just been a summer fun car for me to take out my daughter or grandson for a short ride and some ice cream. At all other times the car has been in storage and just started/driven briefly as needed to maintain conditions. You can not drive the car in the summer with the top down without multiple people wanting to stop and visit, follow you home or stop & ask you about the car.

I do not have the original paperwork or owners manual. I think I am the 2nd or possibly 3rd owner of the car. When I purchased the car it seems like it had around 29K miles when I first bought it.

The car has never been hit or damaged during my ownership.

The car has only been entered in 1 Car Show (by my son & law) and that was this year's Joplin Crusaders & Wounded Warrior Project Car Show. The show was March 20th of 2014 and the car received a Top 10 Award. The car had not been detailed, waxed or prepped in any manner for the show. My son-in-law just wanted to go and take my grandson to spend the day. He took the cover off of the car, washed it, and entered as is. He was quite proud to show me the car had placed just as it is. The car is a survivor and a classic and know it will bring someone as much joy and happiness as it has me.
