1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:

Purchase now and own a piece of True Iconic American CarHistory!

Mid-restoration 55 Chevy. It's a 210 that has LOTS of Bel Air parts. Increasingly hard to find STRAIGHT, SOLID body. Sheet metal is pretty darned good. Floorboards, doors, roof, headlight/taillight areas, bottoms of doors, all body, all solid. Fenders, trunk lid nice. Cowl is as solid as I have ever seen - really this is a rust and rot free car that has had the typical '55 tin worm spots from dryer climates, and does not look to be from an area with salt ever. Rear tail panel is the worst spot, and that's likely from Exhaust on the left side only and super typical. This is from my father’s collection that I am selling due to his poor health and the fact that he has Alzheimer's and can no longer enjoy his collection. He was very selective on the vehicles he purchased, and they have all been really nice solid vehicles. He really knew how to pick 'em! It has been in a dry, commercial Texas building for the last 15 years, and is now in Oregon and waiting for you. He intended to restore it to as original with just a bit of hot rod feel. Scroll ALL THE WAY through the pictures - there's a ton, and not sure they will all load on a cell phone, but they are there. Please look at them, and look closely, we set everything we had for the car out, so you could see just how many goodies we have for the car, and overall those goodies are pretty darned nice. This is a great opportunity to get into a '55 Chevy at a bargain basement price. This will likely be a car that the person who hesitated looks back on and says "I shoulda bought that car.....". Let's take a look at what we have for you -

This car looks to have been a done driver that came apart for paint and some restoration and never went together. Due to my father's health we don't have answers to every question we, or you would ask, but here's some of what is evident:

Engine is early 70’s, looks to be a 350 small block engine (3970010 block, CKH suffix code, could possibly be 305?) which looks to be complete with and Edelbrock intake, HEI Distributor, New Headers, Alternator installed w/ internal regulator with auto trans in place, drive shaft is not in place but included and in the car. Radiator pictured comes with, should be OK, not tested but will fit and is what came off the car.

Lots and lots of parts including Bel Air Trim, Z-Gate shifter, keyless entry, & MORE. Look closely at all the pics, and you will see what is included - it's really pretty darned complete.

We have pictured everything we have for this car - this includes:

  • All garnish moldings, front and rear window trim in and out

  • Body trim for Bel Air and side spears which appear to be new

  • Rear seat top and bottom and a front seat that isn't stock

  • New Wiring installed and some wiring that is still in packages

  • Door panels front and rear

  • Headliner with bows

  • R package tray

  • Cowl grille

  • Dome light assy new

  • Carpet front and rear sections w jute padding

  • Door and trunk weatherstrips new and in package

  • Rubber Bumper kits

  • Alternator conversion wiring kit new

  • Tail lights with new lenses, trim rings and dividers

  • Belair side trim / paint dividers under rear side windows

  • Park lamps with new lenses and new chrome trim

  • Rearview mirror new

  • Visors in nice condition

  • Power door locks and remote solenoids

  • Hood supports and brackets

  • Belair side emblems and gold crests new

  • Boxes of assorted small parts nuts, bolts etc

  • Assorted bags of new trim clips

  • Assorted new cables

Car has a nice and uncut stock dash, (some very minor drilling to right side shaft hole only mod), shaved door handles, but all inner workings still intact, wouldn't be hard to revert to stock. Clock and Bel Air dash trim all in place, dash is very nice overall, glove box and ash tray in place. Stock gauges are intact and a 3 gauge panel is in place and appears to be functional. Main wiring harness which is new and new fuse panel in place and wires largely have been run. Heater is in place and appears to be functional. Brakes are drum but lines, hoses, shoes, cylinders and hardware all are new.

Glass is intact and in good condition all around though side windows have crappy tint film on them (Easy to razor blade off). Window regulators all seem to work too. Body mounts and bolts are all new, not sure if body has been off chassis but all chassis outriggers are super solid, and intact - chassis looks really nice and solid. Air Shocks (new) are in rear. Wheels are vintage Centerlines, skinnys and wides, wrapped in P205/75R15 up front and some nice chunky Road Hugger rear meats. All lug studs appear to be good and in place.

Floor has had all four patch panels done and look to be done well, seam sealed too. The rear 1/4's have had patches installed, rear tail panel has had some work - this looks good on the top but underneath not as good (pictured), just being super up front. The paint job is not the best we have ever seen again just being honest, has some fisheye, orange peel and a peel spot on hood. We have taken many pictures and really really want you to get a feel for just what this car is, which is a solid foundation to build on - really would make a great father son project. Maybe a gasser, hot rod, or who knows what. For the tinkerer, it's the perfect project.

This car has been in the state you see it for 15 plus years, so if there were any major issues they would be showing up. I'd re-paint it, panel paint it, or something - this for sure isn't show paint!!!

This will be a very nice car when complete and more solid than a lot of them out there. This car will be sold on a clean and clear title matching the VIN plate and chassis of the car, and is sold as is, where is with no warranties either expressed or implied.
