74 Nova Restoration Project

Listed for sale is a 1974 Chevrolet Nova Hatchback Custom

This Nova is complete and does run but is being sold as a restoration project. Will do my best to describe the car as well as possible. Ask any questions and I will answer best as possible

I actually own 2 of these cars and do not have the time or money to restore both. The other Nova Owned has sentimental value to me so I am letting the Hatchback go to someone who will restore it the way it deserves also.

Interior:

Factory bucket seats will need to be recovered due to tears but otherwise in good shape. Dash pad, ashtray, glove box all in really good shape. Door panels could use replacement or repair as not bad for age. All plastic in overall good shape. Headliner not bad (no tears) but may need replaced due to age.

Exterior:

This Nova does not look bad but does have rust in the usual places and will need new quarter panels, floor pans ( both sides) Trunk pan repair and small spots of rust on rear side of front fenders. Inner fenders, front cowl, rocker panel & Hatch all appear to be in good shape for age. ( please see photos )

Mechanical:

The Engine in this Nova runs very good. It is mostly stock but actually sounds really good. has headers and dual exhaust. TH350 automatic transmission seems to operate as it should as it goes into and out gear easily however has never been driven at highway speed since I have owned the car.

Brakes:

Although the brakes do stop the car at very low speed andwill allow the car tobe moved around or loaded on trailer they are not road worthy. possible bad master cylinder as they must be pumpedwhen moving car around.
