Nice very original 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible with Aux hard top and only 22233 miles. Basic car, small block 350 engine no power seats, windows or locks, it does have power steering. No A/CCar was stored covered since 1980 in an unheated attached garage in central ohio.To make it drive able and to evaluate it i did the following:New battery, changed engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, coolant, brake pads, rebuilt original calipers (only seals), new master cylinder and tires.Before starting the engine i removed the valve covers and oiled everything and then hand cranked the engine to make sure the lifters pumped up.Carburetor was clean and fuel tank was dry. I drained fuel lines before cranking just to make sure no old gas and to allow only new fuel to the carburetor.After priming the carburetor and setting the automatic choke the engine started easily and ran on fast idle as it should and after warm up idled good.Over the last couple weeks i have started the car several times and drove it about 10 miles. It has a slight hesitation off idle but accelerates and cruises fine.The clutch and transmission work fineThe radiator does have some corrosion in it and i bypassed the heater core because it leaks, unfortunately onto the passenger side carpet. I do not plan on replacing the heater core.Interior is nice no rips or tears in the seats, carpet is good other than were the antifreeze ran in on the passenger side. The floor mat may cover any discolorationThere is a chip in the windshieldThe paint is nice and no evidence of any repaint or damage. The paint quality is by far not what we have today.The front rubber bumper does have a small crack in it.The chrome rear bumpers have some slight rustThe Hard Top is vinyl coveredAgain this is a nice unmolested very original car but still needs work, it is being sold as is so please ask questions and i will answer themPhone 740-928-4454
