You are bidding on a 1986 Chevrolet 1 Ton Custom Deluxe 4x4. It is equipped with a retro-fit 454 Chevy engine (installed by a previous owner). This truck was a military vehicle that was originally equipped with a 6.2L diesel engine (see photo of tag located in driver’s side door jamb). Has true dual exhaust with Flow Master mufflers. The interior door panels, dash and seats have been replaced some time ago by a prior owner. Odometer reads 9,712 which exceeds the mechanical limits (not sure of true mileage). Paint, fit and finish are overall good with normal wear and tear that is to be expected with a 30+ year old ex-military vehicle. The truck has been lifted and rides on 38.5 x 14.5 tires on 16” rims. The only rust I have found is shown in photos in cab corners. Underside has only surface rust. Floorboards, bed, rockers and the inner fender wells are solid with no rust. 4x4 works great with manual locking front hubs. Front differential is a Dana 80 and the rear is a heavy-duty 14 bolt GM. Transmission is a TH400. Has low gears due to original diesel setup (not sure of gear ratio). Runs and drives great and the steering is very tight with no play. Vehicle drives straight down the road and does not pull in either direction. Tires have worn evenly and still have deep tread left. Overall this is a very solid and heavy-duty truck….it’s a BEAST!
