1966 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:

1966 Impala coupe, original 283 2bbl. V/8, 3 speed transmission, complete rebuild thru machine shop noted for Chevrolet rebuilds. We spared no expense on drive train. The body on this was in very nice condition, given the fact it was in a barn and being a 66 model year, there was no floor replacement, no fender replacement, both rear quarters were replaced with Impala Bob's complete quarters. Trunk had 2 small rust spots to the left and right of the spare that was mounted in the car, both were a simple repair. Bottoms of doors, and area behind door openings were rust free, The right front fender had 8" of rust in the top dead center of fender, so my guys cut and sectioned a lip from a donor fender. Hood had not rust, Deck lid had mouse nests in the key hole are and was in bad shape, we found a rust free deck lid from a 66 SS and used it, which is why there are 3 holes for the rear emblem, which a standard coupe did not have, my mistak, but finding a deck lid was by far the toughest item on this car to come up with. They can be filled, but my car was done with that exception and I wanted to enjoy it. I do have the chrome bottom molding and the original SS emblem, but as stated no correct for my car. This is a no A/C, no P.S, no P.B. car. As straight of a car as you'll come across. Complete new suspension, brake, fuel system, exhaust w/suppressors, interior (seatin, carpet, headliner.) and previously noted drive train. I have the spare and jack hardware in storage, will go with car. I did not have restoration firm reinstall outside chrome, for personal tastes. This vehicle has 3 coats of Danube Blue Metallic and 5 coats of clear. I must thank Classic Industries for the help bringing this car back from the barn I retrieved it from 5 years ago. I have ability to store for up to 60 days in my storage facility at no charge, this car since being completed has never sat out overnight and wont til picked up.
