Up for sale we have a 1967 Chevrolet El Camino. This car features the matching numbers 396 Block and has had a beautiful frame off restoration done. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the El Camino. The body is laser straight with near perfect door gaps and fit. Everything is covered in the Granada Gold which is the factory color for it. The paint has been buffed and polished to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. All the glass looks very good with the windshield appearing to have been replaced. All of the chrome on this '67 from the bumpers to the bed and rear window chrome is in excellent condition. The stainless is all very nice with some small imperfections from driving. Inside the bed all appears rock solid with the paint being very nice as well. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of new '67 model Vette Wheels and a new set of Red Line tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '67. On the inside, it's also done in the factory option with the Medium Gold Bucket Seats. The seat covers have been replaced and they're in excellent condition along with the padding. This El Camino has the console with the T Shifter and the clock that is working. Also, the door panels appear to have been replaced along with the trim. The power window controls are in the doors and work great. Looking at the carpet and headliner, they're also done in gold and in great condition. You'll notice that the dash and pad are both very nice and that all the gauges are working from the blinker tach to the speedo. The factory style AM Radio is working along with the EBrake.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it's powered by the matching numbers 396 Block. It's mated to the '67 Model Turbo 400 Trans and the '67 Model 12 Bolt with 2.73 Gears. The 396 is set up with the stock style intake and early Model Quadrajet Carburetor. For exhaust, it has manifolds with dual pipes and flow master mufflers. This El Camino also comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes with disc on the front and drums on the rear. Also, the front sway bar was upgraded to a larger Hotchkis bar. When you look under this '67 you'll see it has been taken off the frame when restored and that new floor pans were installed. The frame is in excellent condition along with the bottom of the bed.
