1988 c1500 chevrolet 1/2 ton truck

1988 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Additional Info:

My old truck I have driven daily for over a decade.Passenger side head brand new! New Rancho RS500 nitrogen shocks,new completely rebuilt steering column from Detroit MI.fuel pump (AC Delco)and sock/filter replaced,new timing chain,new distributer-needs new cap& rotor as I swapped to other truck(old ones on now so still runs).Starts right up,no knocking,very strong!The bad-#8 cylinder is cracked I believe.Valve seals were being done and thaught the head got cracked.I replaced and now leaks coolant in cylinder.I have drained it and start it every couple of days,for a minute or two,With no coolant it runs fine then starts smoking.It needs a new block.lots of other new parts installed as well.Great for parts,Ranch truck or toy.The bumpers I had made and the rear is oilfield pipe casing,welded to frame! Front is bolted on factory style.Please ask any quetions as I am happy to answer! Not actual mileage,showing a little over 69k,moves slowly but speedo work, 700R4 transmission rebuilt by Palestine transmissions(the best)5 years ago.(2k for rebuild w shift kit)Shifts perfect!Smooth shifts,not neck snapping.no problems but needs a new T.V. Cable as it broke the end at throttle body.It was broke doing head repairs,This is important if you want to use-ask me how I know!Driver door does not open,broken catch so it is screwed shut,I just Dukes of Hazzard it!My Johnny Cash truck! Yes that is a large Scarface sticker on the back window,Tool box does not leak,its got the Marlin logo on it United Auto Welders out of Florida.a good one,came in black from factory,Struts on box work perfect & lid stays up!.Diamond plate rail covers. Drop a short block or used engine,and go!Saftey only inspection in Texas!Thank you!(will remove plates when sold)Tires are 9 months old,all about the same-no unusual wear,very even.No k&N filter,windshield has cracks,small bit of rust left front bottom floor of bed,small area,only spot on truck.there when I bought it.wet leaves built up and sitting.Best,honest description.Rebuilt front end 2 times- Moog parts.new moogu joints-5k on them.Aluminum driveshaft-factory.First year of new body style,TBI ect I believe.1 spare tire included-not great but hold air,some tread on it.If you are local and would like to examine first I am fine with that and have a flexible schedule.The truck is in Bee Caves Tx.
