1994 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:

Up for sale is my 1994 Corvette coupe, equipped with an LT1 5.7L V8 engine and a 6 speed manual transmission. I have owned the car since April 2014 and in that time have only put 1,700 miles on it, which is my primary reason for listing the vehicle - I simply don't drive it enough and would like to see it go to someone who can give it the time and attention it deserves. I have always been particularly fond of the C4 generation Corvettes and in my opinion this is one of the cleanest ones that I've seen, with the exception of concours or museum quality cars. This is an adult-owned Corvette that has been very well cared for, not molested, never raced, and never abused.
The Good:
  • The gentleman who I bought the car from had owned it for 18 years (1996-2014); he informed me that during that time - and to his knowledge, the two years prior to his ownership - the car had never been exposed to any rain or snow. In my ownership I have continued with this and have only driven the car on perfect days - I don't even drive it after a rain storm when the roads are still wet. I believe the car has only spent ~5 nights outside in the past 3 years but is otherwise stored in my garage on a battery tender.
  • The car comes with two sets of wheels (one set of tires). When I bought the car it came with authentic ZR-1 wheels in the factory sizes of 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear. I personally have always felt that the ZR-1 wheels take the C4 to a level beyond the standard wheel offerings. While the wheels are in good shape for their age (some minor imperfections and a curb rash on one - pictures available at request) I felt that the offset of the rear wheels made them stick out too far from the fenders. To combat this I replaced the wheels with ZR-1 replica wheels in the same 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear, but with a less aggressive offset in the rear, which tucks the wheels nicely into the lines of the body. The aftermarket wheels are currently on the vehicle, but I am selling both sets of wheels with the car. Both sets fit the 275mm front and 315mm rear tires that are on the car.
  • The paint is in excellent condition overall with only a couple of minor blemishes.
  • The car has never been in any accidents and has had zero body work done. No cracked fiberglass anywhere on the car.
  • The interior is in fantastic condition - carpet shows as new, the dash shows no fading and is un-cracked, and the seats show well for their age (minor wear on the outside bolster of the driver's seat, commensurate with the age of the vehicle).
  • The car is entirely stock except for the wheels and the mufflers, which I had professionally removed with the factory exhaust tips retained. This results in a perfect exhaust note for a Corvette that does not invade the cabin when cruising, but provides a lovely growl and burble when you want it. The volume is slightly less than C7 Corvette's with the factory dual-mode exhaust - my wife rides in the car with no complaints!
  • In the last 2,000 miles, the car has received the following maintenance: new tires, new brakes, new starter
  • In the last 500 miles, the car has received the following additional maintenance: new rear wheel hubs & bearings, new rear carpet (was beginning to curl from sun exposure - I also have a set of all new carpet for the rest of the car as I had to buy it as a set; this will be included in the sale as well), oil change, coolant flush, new air filter, new intake manifold gasket, new valve cover gaskets, new secondary air pump gasket, new coolant temperature sensor
  • The car is extremely well equipped with the FX3 Selective Ride Control, Passive Keyless Entry (locks and unlocks based on your proximity), dual power seats, and the Bose Gold audio system
  • Flip up headlights work perfectly every time
  • I do have the factory wrench to remove the hardtop
  • The car includes the original owner's manual
The Not-So-Good:
  • While the paint is in fantastic condition for a 23 year old vehicle, it does unfortunately have two notable blemishes. The first is on the drivers side of the hood where a child's bicycle reportedly fell on the car and the second is on the front right of the nose where the car reportedly brushed against something when pulling into the garage. Both of these blemishes are fairly minor and were present when I purchased the car - fortunately they are only paint blemishes and could be repaired with no body work. Pictures of both of these are included.
  • The front plastic spoiler has rubbed a few driveways given the low ride height of the car - it's un-cracked and in good functional condition, but I've included pictures for your consideration.
  • While the car is always garage kept, the sun and heat exposure has caused the headliner in the removable top to begin sagging a bit. It's minor and only hangs slightly, but I've not yet gotten around to having this repaired. A picture is included.
  • The A/C control panel periodically fails to respond to input - this is a common issue and can reportedly be remedied by removing the panel and cleaning the connectors, but I've not gotten to this item yet either.
It is my intention to be and forthcoming and honest as possible in the representation of this vehicle. With that being said, it's possible I may have overlooked or forgotten a detail, so please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I can also provide additional pictures of the vehicle, the factory ZR-1 wheels, or any detail shots that you would like to see. I can also provide a sound clip video so that you may hear the sound of the exhaust and engine running.
Please note that I currently have a lien on this vehicle (used as collateral for a house project). My credit union is less than 5 miles from my home and can provide a lien release document (I have the title) to the buyer at the time of purchase. I have done this many times with them as both a buyer and seller and it is always a seamless process, but please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction end and full payment and delivery must be arranged within 7 days of the auction end. Full payment is only accepted in the form of certified/cashier's check or cash. No PayPal or money wire.
The buyer is responsible for pickup and/or shipping. I will gladly work with your shipper, but all costs are to be covered by the buyer and the shipper must be able to pick the vehicle up at my home in Maryland.
Should you have any questions or concerns or wish to see the vehicle in person, please contact me BEFORE bidding. Please keep in mind that a bid is a commitment to buy should it be the winning bid. I will gladly show the vehicle to any interested bidders, but no joy rides without cash in hand.
Best of luck to all interested bidders - thank you for taking the time to consider my Corvette and please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
