1986 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 Silverado Additional Info:

Up for auction is my absolutely beautiful 1986 K20 Silverado. An original Pacific Northwest truck, has no cancer rust whatsoever; cab corners, rockers and floor panels etc all solid. This truck was owned by an older gentleman who described it as his "fishing truck" which was used lightly and sparingly over the years, but used enough to keep it all working well. When I bought it, it had a color matched canopy installed which had not been removed for many years (included in the sale for free if you like), therefore the condition of the bed is outstanding; some paint flaking but has seen zero hard use or abuse. Other than that the truck was mostly under a carport and out of the elements year round. I was told that the truck odometer had only turned over once, so the truck has173,000 original miles! And judging by the condition overall, I have no doubt that this is accurate. Truck appears to be meticulously maintained over the years, as seen by overall condition compared to other trucks of this vintage.

Under the hood is a bone stock 5.7 engine with extremely rare factory original heavy duty stainless steel manifolds and dual exhaust. Previous owner said engine was replaced at one time but could not provide paperwork. The truck runs like it just rolled off the factory floor, no smoking on startup, choke runs the idle up till it is warm and idles smooth. Everything appears to be in excellent condition under the hood, every piece of factory emissions equipment is hooked up and working flawlessly. Power is transferred to the tires via the venerable TH400 transmission (shifts solid) mated to NP208 transfer case (4x4 works perfectly), semi-floating 14 bolt rear differential and 10 bolt GM front differential. With a new battery topping it all off, here you have one of the most reliable packages ever made in a vehicle. On top of that all fluids were recently replaced from front to rear, so this drivetrain is good to go another 30k without any maintenance!

Body is in incredible shape, factory paint still shines superbly. Passenger side paint is a bit chipped and faded as it was parked facing the sun most days, but that could easily be touched up. Or repaint the door and front fender and it would be almost like new. But overall for a truck that is 30 years old andhas never been painted,you would be hard pressed to find much better. Bed is in exceptional condition as you can see in the pictures. Handsome factory white steel rims with Chevrolet “Dog Dish” hubcaps and almost new Toyo tires will get you wherever you need to go and in style. With new KYB Gas-Adjust shocks at all fourcorners, including the rare factory option of dual shocks up front, not only does the truck look good going down the road, it handles better than new. And with factory rear overload springs, this is one heavy duty 3/4 ton! Steering is tight with no slop and tracks down the freeway at 75mph with ease. Bumpers, all trim, grill, tailgate, lenses, etc. are all in great shape and show nicely! Doors shut solid, no sag and they seal well. All glass is in good shape, no scratching or discoloration to speak of, rear window slides as it should.

Interior is in fantastic shape and super clean! With the Silverado package the trim level is much nicer than the standard pickups. You get power windows/ locks, cruise control, intermittent wipers, among other things which all work great. Door pull straps are solid, tilt steering column is tight and slop free, dual fuel tanks switch back and forth, it is all there. Seat has no rips or stains and dash is crack free. All gauges work as they should. Only ding on interior is the door panels are not in perfect condition, a few blemishes here and there, but overall even with those minor imperfections, you will be nothing short of proud to show off the inside!
