1976 Chevrolet Camaro

I am putting up for sale at no reserve one of the cars out of my small collection I seemed to have acquired over the years, my 1976 Chevrolet Camaro, 305 V8, Automatic, 90,256 miles, Firethorn Red (36), Air Delete.

I purchased this car from the second owner here in South Dakota where I live. He had owned the car for a while and used it for fun cruiser for around town. He purchased the car from the original owner in Denver Colorado where the car was sold new. I have used the car for more or less the same things that the previous owner before me did, just as an around town cruiser that I can hop into and have some fun in. The '76 Camaro was not one of the all time greats in GM history, as GM, along with many other car makers were starting to develop more economical cars to address the economies at the time. However, the Camaro was still Chevy's "muscle car" and it retains a lot of the great styling and heritage from the previous generation Camaros.

That being said, this is a great example of a '76. I have all of the paperwork from new to go along with the car: the books, original window sticker, dealer white plates, owners manual, etc... It is a solid 90,000 mile car with no rust issues and presents very well wherever it goes. After I purchased the car, I went through it and had it completely serviced by a long time mechanic and friend of mine I take all of my cars to. It has newer tires on it that are still in great shape so I left those alone. I had it fully detailed as well, including a careful buff and some interior cleaning that needed to get done. The paint and interior are in well above average condition and show good in any light, glass is good, no real issues to talk about aside from some normal wear and tear that you'd expect from a 90,000 mile vehicle (some small and minor hairline scratches here and there, nothing you'd see unless you were really looking for it). The car starts and runs great, but has a little bit of a carb hesitation when its cold (which is very normal for these cars), and comes right out of it once it warms up.

The car has been garaged most of its life from what I can tell and the history I know about the car. It would make a wonderful driver for someone looking for classic that they can drive and not be overly concerned about where they park it or how often it leaves the garage. I could also see it just making the perfect first car or first collector car to a younger person who hasn't necessarily had much exposure to older cars. (Easy to work on, cheap parts, classic muscle car styling) I have always urged people I know not be afraid of cars like these. I have had a lot of cars over the years, high price restored muscle cars being included, and sometimes having a car like this that you can just get in and drive are the ones you have the most fun in.

I am selling the car to make some space in the garage and to possibly do some work on some other cars I have. It is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and I can keep it for a couple weeks or a month after the auction if you are distant and need some time to organize a shipper or plan logistics, I have no problem with that. I know a couple truckers I have used in the past for my cars, so if you'd need assistance with that I could help arrange it too, or at least help you find someone if you'd like. Message me with any questions about the car, if you'd like to have it inspected, or come see it yourself. I'd be happy to answer any questions!
