This is a real 302 Z28. We have had several specialist look at this car and are unable to verify that it is a numbers matching car, which means that this exact engine came in this exact car new from the factory, so assume it is a CLONE only as you likely assumed from the low price as a verified matching numbers car is worth nearly $100,000. We have been able to trace the car back to 2002. What we CAN verify is that the car is a real 1969 Z28. The transmission is correct and the engine is a real 1969 Z28 302. It does have a DZ stamp which is what most people look for. We just cannot verify for certain that this engine came in this exact car because the engine does not have a serial number that would match the VIN, however many Z28 cars produced in 1969 do not have serial numbers due to inconsistencies in manufacturing. Please see the photos of casting numbers. I have been unable to find the photo of the date code castings on the rear of the block but I will post that as soon as I can. The engine is date coded for December 1968 if I remember correctly. If we could verify it was a matching numbers car it would be worth $80,000 or higher. To be safe, we are offering this car at clone prices, as simply one of the best restored 1969 Z28 cars you will see on ebay, at a very affordable and fair price given its options, equipment and quality.
GOOD:
- The owner spared no expense in keeping this beauty in tip top shape.
- It was driven locally and regularly to keep it operational and for enjoyment.
- This car has competed in many car shows and is multiple 1st place winner.
- Everything is in top shape, no mechanical issues or otherwise.
- has all of the desirable options and equipment, definitely a car to own and enjoy.

BAD:
- We have found a very few, very small, minor paint defects on the passenger side, appears to be related to the age of the restoration. Not detectable in photographs as you can see, very minor.
- unable to verify that the engine is numbers matching and original to this exact car. The castings and stampings are all correct, but there is no serial number. Several specialists have comfirmed that many Z28s will not have serial numbers on the block, or that the serial numbers could have been destroyed during the milling process when the engine was rebuilt. In either case, it may be original, maybe not, but would be impossible to verify which is why we are offering at a clone price only to be safe.

Do your research. A similar clone just sold at auction for $59,000 was wasnt even orange. If you think your going to buy this car in the $30's your dreaming. Take a good look at the photos and then a better look at other cars on the market, you'll be back. If you want to know something specific or see other photos of something send us an email or give us a call to discuss.

The paint and body is mint, Grade A shape. The interior is absolutely perfect, and mechanically the car is a dream. I have personally driven this car and will continue to try to find excuses to drive it until it is sold. It is a dream to drive. One of the greatest performance cars ever built, it is just about perfect in every way. Hop in, turn the key and your immediately taken back to 1969. These cars are one of the most collectible of all first generation F-bodies and will only continue to increase in value. It seems that everyone has a story or a memory of one of these cars, it is definitely an attention grabber.

The car drives very well and gets alot of attention. Very fun and practical at the same time. What a way to enjoy your investment!
If you are looking to get into a collectible classic car, fun to drive and great to show off, then this would be the opportunity for you. Needs NOTHING! Just turn the key and enjoy.
